Just purchased an 09 plate £4900 no vat very impressed with it,plenty power if needed and quite economical aswell.tempted to get it chipped though as would really improve performance and fuel economy.i was looking to buy another d22 but for 5-6k you get an 05 plate with 80000 on the clock and strong possibility of the renowned conrod prpblem at any time:thumbdown:

Could not agree more, vine is an overpaid hypocrit.Some reports suggest that his salary is upwards of £1,000 000 per annum and to improve ratings bbc employees were used as bogus callers to pretend to be involved in whatever subject had been discussed.I used to listen to jimmy young years ago he was bearable as for vine hes a slimy false accented idiot

I am very keen but there are drawbacks aswell no permanent decision has yet been decided i was brought up on farms for most of my life and would move back to the country if i got the chance now i have the oppertunity to.in a ideal world if a can get a long term let on our property with good tenants then thats half ther battle if our house is sitting empty then it not viable to proceed

I currently own a 3 bed semi in town location,rely on relative for storage,preparation of friewood etc all equipment parked there have use of stone building in return for assistance on farm.A friend has recently purchased a farm with land, 5 bedroomed farmhouse with 3 roomed annexe on 1 side,2 bed holiday cott attached at other side with converted tearoom ajoined to that all within a traditional stone farmyard.I can rent my house out for approx 500 a month i also currently pay10 months council tax at 100 a month.He as offered to rent me the farmhouse with 2 ajacent outbuildings and a large tin/timber barn for 600 a month and he pays the council tax only-cons- vigas boiler used to heat all 4 properties 50kw size based in barn(could be costly) no bath possible neighbours from time to time (holiday cottage) a bit more travelling for er indoors to work losing our home to the rental market renting out a property to rent a property pros- spring fed water-no water charges use of sheds on situ my own base for all firewood preparation,storage etc. beutiful views,country location will see more of family couple of paddocks availible aswell have alot to think over on this proposition..........any advice greatly recieved
  11. I must be mad,selling a heaped crewcabbed load of seasoned hardwood for 50 quid havent put my prices up in 3 years
  12. My late father used to put sugar and diesel on tha parkray to get it going along with alot of swearing
  13. i heard a very strange way today how to clean flue of soot etc. Apparently this chap reckoned if you burn the odd empty beer tin it contains certain materials that when burned clears the chimney of soot,tar etc 1st time i have heard of this but saying that when i go to visit an aunt and uncle who are farmers when he provides the odd can or 2 of boddys he says just throw them onto the fire when you are finished??????
  14. Thanks for that advice folks it has put my mind at rest,i was starting to get a little worried about the curious smell,i have a carbon monoxide sensor fitted aswell as the smoke alarms and it has not made a squek
  15. Having fishishing installing a dunsley highlander 5 this afternoon there seems to be a strange smell developing and the smoke alarm has gone off,is it normal to experience what i persume is the newness of the burner with the new materials inside....any advice gratefully recieved
