  1. Maybe you have them already through the army Or maybe they will sort them for you but Hgv licenses or even your trailer course would set you out from the rest believe me it's worth it.
  2. Yeah we all follow every rule as I'm sure you do I'll remember that when using a saw with one hand and holding with the other that next door could get me a 6 grand fine.
  3. No one likes a grass!
  4. I forgot ever looking at the price of a pint of milk and thinking that's crazy monney they could put it up twenty pence a litre and I wouldn't notice. We get ours of a local farm who deliver at 5am every other day and we pay a little bit more than a super market but it's allways there never miss a delivery and it's helping a local farmer. Super markets and big corporate greed are killing this country and the small man.
  5. Totally agree old mill this is how I went about it all was very worth while this was after doing a years unpaid work exp while still at school to. I couldn't afford to go to college and not work but as you said apprenticeships are the best Of both worlds!
  6. Out of interest I assume you don't stick to these rules? Surely it's not viable?
  7. Again I saw and snooped around this at the show and was really really impressed think you've cornered a market and hope you get your success. Out of pure interest only have you thought about designing one for a hicap landie? Would of thought there would be a fairly large call considering the ammount of discussion about conversions
  8. Great truck mate as someone else said only small grip is really bouncy. You out tommorow?
  9. Really gutted for you mate was only speaking to you the other day about these incidents getting local. Hope everything gets sorted and hope the shows a success. On the note of one of the above post my mum works at a warehouse that stocks high value goods and they have an alarm that apparently is so awful to hear and some gas released that you crap yourself and fall to the floor in a delirium. Funny thing is they have to put warning signs up for the robbers for insurance and human rights reasons !
  10. I love stretch airs but 2 pairs now I've had the crocth go after 6 months. One time was just jumping on a truck! Im not the only one either. I think if your paying that monney they should be lasting through that.
  11. On mine I was winching for an hour. Make sure you eat your wetabix in te morning
  12. No idea never been but just thought it was a given. Maybe not.
  13. Is there no camping at apf?
  14. Putting "ears" in the side of the cut would surely stop any peeling of bark as you mentioned scotspine? I've used it a lot in coppicing to protect the stool and sometimes use it in taking out tops for reasons you mentioned.
  15. What was the total cost if you don't mind me asking?
  16. Should be able to get tachyon in orange I think mate. Fr jones will deliver you one at a good price and i think they have poison ivy to.
  17. Surprised you didn't say or notice the fuel consumption. That was my noticeable difference
  18. Just to add I've worked with Callum for a few days and is a very good grafter turns up on time ready for work and gets stuck In. And a nice bloke to. Good luck with your search mate
  19. Maybe we shouldn't speculate? Maybe we dont nor will ever know why it fAiled? What is speculation going to achieve except guessing our own conclusion unless you'll follow the whole case then well never know what happened ans why. Rip and hope the other guys ok.
  20. I have always worked by rule of thumb that if your foot can boot through it and you can't push it over its probably safe to climb
  21. Clearly not colleges, competitions and tickets aren't the real world though they try but there not the same.
  22. Have to agree i just see it as ass covering exercise to show they have done something about it when it all goes tits up. I don't think it's just by companies selling it plenty of national trust, English heritage and councils I've done work for have used it and most of the time was there choice. And if it does create more work why is it a problem. If the clients happy to pay. The insurers happy you've taken a step to prevent something and your happy to put it up what's the problem with that?
  23. Where abouts is that sounds a laugh. Is there a website anywhere!
  24. I was wondering the other day why towers arnt used as much and just put it down to maybe taking longer to set up hence needing to be at a job for a while to justify it as in construction sites. What was the reason for using one rich just because of height?
  25. I use one as I just can't be botherd to set up some rope as my flip line had never annoyed me that much. However someone gave me a Rope strop virtually ready made that I'm going to use so well see.
