  1. Type into YouTube 660 20" bar.
  2. Chip box had a bit of a tidy up. Tidied off the rough edges and have it a bath in creocote. Pleased with the results. Signs within the next few weeks
  3. I'm 40 mins away in st Helens but happy to travel there.
  4. That's not the plan. Ill get up to the odd 12" cut maybe doing branches back to the stem but change saws if there's a lot of 10"+ cuts. Not worth killing it!
  5. I actually know a guy looking for one of those!
  6. I drilled a 5mm hole in the exhaust of my 150 and its now much better. Lots less bogging down and is happy in 8" cuts. Chain speed is improved in cuts. Much more user friendly.
  7. This is the condition of mine after 9 months. Super duper comfy. Soles wearing faster than I would think! Will need a new one by Christmas I think!
  8. Super simple dismantles. Two 17mm spanners will have it in 5 bits. Hopper, chute, cassette, engine/chassis and battery tray. Between two people its easily manageable. Me and armchairarborist carried it up 7 flights of twisty turny uneven steps then put it back together. Saved a ball ache of a drag!
  9. I noticed this today too. Bit of wd40 and a cloth shifted it easy enough. I'm on stihl hp ultra. I did try and look at pulling the exhaust off to look at how its built and if it can be opened up. But I couldn't see any easy to access screws. Still put a hole in anyway. Only a 5mm one. May widen it if I feel I need a bit more. Seems a bit happier to pick the chain up from idle. Although the H screw was already all the way anti clockwise it seems I can't richen it any more. So I won't be going nuts with this mod.
  10. All raring to go this morning kit all sorted for a fairly simple inner courtyard clearance at a school. Chip box started to disintegrate just after I left the yard so tied it up to stop it going AWOL and limped back home. Luckily it was less than a now away! Got back unbolted mounts and flipped it off. Fell into a rotten heap awaiting a fiery send off.
  11. Looks overloaded to me
  12. After 2 years my chip box finally gave in. The bolts holding a corner pulled through the ply eventually and it was shifting around a bit. Still held on but all the front wasnt in good shape. It was on the way to site too this morning. Just what I needed! Tipped it off the truck and it fell into a heap. Most of it was rotten so looks like ill be building a new one. Managed to scrounge some boards whilst on site. Including a white board which doubles up as a notice board and headboard for chip too.
  13. In a spin off to this, maybe its worth trying this technique on a 150t?
  14. I've got a job in Chorlton on Saturday where there's a tree and a load of shrubs coming out. I'm after a second competent person who can assist me in getting the job done. Paid when invoice is received. Will be easier to meet me on site if you close to there or you can meet at my yard in st helens. Please contact me through 07841128366 Thanks
  15. Another one thats lost without a watch! I'm on my second tissot touch watch now. Got a second because I'd had one for 5 years and was a 21st birthday present. Worn every day in all sorts of conditions. Good quality face means they don't scratch. The strap is completely covered but not a mark on the face. Had a scare where I nearly broke the clasp on the new one. Being titanium it's not a cheap fix if it breaks! So now I wear a g shock that's a tenth of the price and I'm not too worried if that gets damaged!
  16. Nice gentle oak reduction today with the help of a 7 strong ground crew
  17. P. ilicis causes dieback from the tip of the leaves and works up the plant. This looks similar but difficult without any leaves. You can get ELISA field test kits for these
  18. The plus vat to him doesn't make a difference. He has to charge it but he doesn't actually get it as that's the vat mans cut! Emphasising that doesn't really make it negative. The situation in the first half of the post. If that was what £500 was. That's about right! To get that many logs it sounds more like half a tree than just a limb
  19. I use a b420 back lack most days. Much easier and faster than the biggest hand held. Used a br600 magnum clearing thick wet grass after it had been strimmed and made the 420 seem like an asthmatic coughing
  20. You'd be better getting a tdi. Costs a bit less to run and will still grunt along easily I'm gonna get a set of new injectors in it. Failing that the only other thing it could be is the crank position sensor which I've read can be quite easily damaged when the engine has been taken out. It throws the ecu into confusion and it can't time anything right.
  21. I bought some used alloy bashlins a few years back. They have done me well. I'm thinking of going over to geckos but still undecided on carbons or Ali. Would be interested in selling them if the price was right!
  22. Bump Still looking for someone. You will be paid when the works done. Cheers
