  1. sad news, thoughts are with his family and friends.
  2. belated birthday wishes mate.
  3. saw them on an episode of human planet once. from what i remember they only grow in one spot of the world. i'm sure there is some significance to its form and the way it collects/transports water, but may be confusing with another from that episode. either way a magnificent looking tree.

  5. dont want to alarm you but have you checked its defo chocolate! i remember the first chocolate bar we gave to ours, in hind sight we probably should have got him off our bed first!
  6. 80% i'd be pleased with that. deffinately worth cultivating and selling, if you charged half the price the garden centres do youd be quids in.

  22. not sure on arizonica but it does with glabra.
  23. is the chain sharp? a blunt chain will heat up and slacken. sorry if that sounds a little patronising.
  24. #1 possibly a coastal red wood #2 a cypress but torn between what one (hinoki, monterey, smooth arizona????)
  25. as others have said, a mixture of both is probably ideal but mostly the practical experiance. however only if the quality of the experiance is good ie working with a good and knowledgable crew and varied work.
