  1. good words mate, merry xmas.
  2. i am by no means as experianced with firearms as alot of you are but i am a keen airgun hunter and intend to get my fac one day. my kids are young and id like to think they will share my enthusiasm for shooting. it may sound silly to the layman but im sure most of you will agree with my teaching of gun safety using their toy guns. i dont want to stop them shooting each other with foam bullets but i try to ballance their fun with little basic safe practices such as; never look down the muzzle and never point at anyones face, all rules apply wether loaded or not. i like them to know the difference between there toys and the real thing though and so when my rifle is out they adhere to strict rules. i am happy for them to use my rifle with me so long as they follow the rules otherwise they have to stay in doors.
  3. as above id like to extend my gratitude to all those who contributed toward the 'injured climber' fund. jonsie sent the proceedings to me and to say im overwhelmed is an under statement. justin also very kindly drew up a list of everyone who donated and although i would like to thank each one of you, there were just so many that it would be very difficult. still i want you all to know how grateful i am for the genorosity you have all shown to me and my family. id also like to thank justin for organizing and managing the donations:thumbup1: thank you too all those whose kind words and support has helped spur me on through everything so far:thumbup:
  4. that florida sun cant be all that if youve resorted to the talk:001_tongue: anyway i thought you were banned off here till youre back in the country, have fun out there and try not to slip next to the pool or lean too far over your balcony:sneaky2:
  5. if you want people to understand then you need to stop mincing your words and say what you mean, lol. i hope your rant made you feel better, it certainly did me. i think most of us can share your frustrations mate so dont worry you aint alone. hope you can get it sorted. ps. although not strictly swearing, avoiding swear filters is still, with good reason, against forum rules so take it easy in your posts mate. welcome to the forum by the way. edit; just seen your join date, so not so much welcome more.... post abit more often, lol.
  6. bump. come on people this could be just what you need to unwind and relax after a stressful couple of days pretending to like the inlaws and telling everyone their gift was just what you wanted!
  7. girly rope pullers imo, he had even taken all the front weight off to make it lighter for them.
  8. go on you dont want to stay up north for for too long anyway, it will do strange things to your head. maybe pick up a couple of them northern boys on the way down and they can bring their pinnys and tend to our grub.
  9. i got to see the eagle in process so i'm glad i've got to see the finished product. excellent work, welcome to the forum dan.

  11. have you considered the komet butterfly or komet dragonfly? or was it something specific about the morpho? i use the dragonfly and really like it, others i know who use butterflys and dragonflys rate them quite highly. dragonfly=seat butterfly=leg loops
  12. its the other way for me, i'm with tmobile and have always had good reception in most places but since the new mast share ive had problem after problem with connection and can rarely hold a conversation without getting cut off.

its still a bit early to tell but they tell me that there are alot of things they can do if they need to, for example re-routing muscles. at the moment they are still working on closing the wound, only once theyve done that can they start to try and fix the bone. by what theyve said things like getting the leg functioning again will come after everything else has been taken care of.

    i'm home

well i promised you all an update and here it is:thumbup: after 6 1/2 weeks in the comfort of my hospital bed:sneaky2: ive been let home for a bit of rest bite. For those who this makes no sense to, check out the thread "stumpgrinder accident" i dont know exactly how long i'll be home for but possibly a couple of weeks. the plan is to go back to hospital around the end of november/ beginning of december to carry on with reconstruction. i got home yesterday (saturday) and it felt really strange but it is great being able to see my kids and spend time with them. .

its not only the saw that can do you harm, there are many unexpected things that could go wrong here and whilst to the experienced cutter this looks to be a relatively straight forward and simple 5 minute job, i would strongly recommend that as a novice you do not attempt this.
  24. i heard mick beasted him so bad that he decided to take up a proffesion in a florests:sneaky2: seriously monkey i hope you sorted yourself out after loosing your gear, you had a lot of enthusiasm, it would be a shame to see you chuck it in.
