  1. yeah watched it, not through any pre planning, thought it was alright. found myself getting into it and wouldnt mind watching the series. a bit of a shocking opening sequence.... shooting that little girl in the head! even if she was about to eat him. watched hell boy before and thirteen ghosts after, thought i was gonna have nightmares. lol.
  2. good on you mark. pdgs noone could give you good safe advice based on those images alone. and with little experience its really not worth taking the risk. dito what tommer said.
  3. that thing in the middle looks dead andy, i reckon fell and replant
  4. hes lucky the the tree knocked the saw out of his hand!
  5. what about ham and pinapple or cheese and tomato?
  6. surely the prioraty was to get the thorn out? that sort of thing could wait till he got home:sneaky2: and just my 2 penneth worth, i prefer not to wear gloves when working with thorns as it allows me to feel where they are, the first clue you get of touching a thorn when wearing gloves is as it bursts through and into your hand:thumbdown:
  7. well done mate, good luck out there it sounds like a great oppurtunity.
  8. at least you wont have to worry about the tip breaking in there, you can pull it out from the other side! yooouuuuch!
  9. without knowing how much the ground will be disturbed its hard to say but if you firm it up best you can with the digger this will help. dig the holes by hand with a graft as this will help firm the sides of the hole as you dig. no harm in using extended posts as robert suggested. and use a firm but sticky mix around the posts and tamp it in hard and even. dont dig your holes too wide, you dont want a ball around the post. i hope this is helpful and makes sense.
  10. got to agree with the others.
  11. many congratulations to you and your good wife mark. and you do look a right plonker in that surgeons get up
  12. i'm sure you can get ointment to treat that:sneaky2:
  13. stop encouraging him steve, nevermind his dreams.... most of us will be having nightmares now!
  14. alrite bolt, thought i'd reply here so as not to derail tonys thread. i'm making good progress mate, its a slow process but its going well. thanks alot for your concern. all the best dave.

  15. by some accounts there were two by the end of the day!
  16. my guess would be it was either damaged when the fence was put up or animal damage. either way i would say it was physical trauma of some description and not likely recent. hope thats helpful?
  17. that looks like some early footage, very funny.
  18. it just doesnt look the same without the beer tent.
  19. maybe your post could of been a little more constructive and a little less degrading. i for one, and i dare say many others, think that what tony is doing is very admirable and could prove very benificial to arboriculture and arboriculturists alike. noone is making you like the idea, and if you dont want to support it then thats your right, you are entitled to your opinion after all. but as the saying goes.... 'if you have nothing useful to say then probably best to say nothing at all'. and as for flaming.... we leave that to the less constructive members, some of us have better things to write. keep up the good work tony:001_smile:
  20. how did you photo shop the trees and shrubs out in the second picture robert?
