  1. The 3 year old disco was great to drive. But the 17 year old land crusier was doing all the work while the disco spent it's life at the dealers. In 12 years the Amazon has been faultless. And for the age it's still a nice vehicle and it's still here.
  2. I sold a four year old disco four about a year ago. With out doubt one of the best 4x4 to drive but built from junk a complete disaster had nine discos over 20"years won't touch another LR product now. I love the old discos can't believe how bad the ford effort was.
  3. There are loads of reasons for trailer snaking. After towing for nearly 30 years if I am not happy with the outfit at 30 mph then it's not going to get better and needs sorting. Most loads can be repositioned on the side of the road with the help of a 5 tonne ratchet strap. I don't think I would ever try accelerating out of a snake and tend to hold tight to the steering and let off the throttle and let the speed fall away.
  4. I would be interested in some of the limbs for firewood if there is any left. I am only in Andover .
  5. The kindlet is a touch too fast for one and too slow for 2. We average 25 bags with one operator and 40 with 2.
  6. And again 🙄 Must be my computer skills or lack of
  7. Until the price of oil goes back up tick over and enjoy the sun.
  8. If u live in a hard water area u may find a rad flush a waste of time because once blocked the flush can't get to the chalk and it needs a recore. Try pouring water in the top of the rad if it sits and takes its time. The other thing I have done is gently push a thin rod down the water ways from the filler neck often the rod will stop after an inch or so.
  9. With a cracked head it was probably down on power so with a bit of a rebuild and service you may be surprised. From my experience the heads are more likely to crack if the engine has been modified / chipped . The td5 sounds like it is being thrashed but that engine loves revving even if it sounds a bit harsh very little power below 2000 rpm. If you want a four litre lump in a 4x4 go four an Amazon they are designed to carry the weight up front.
  10. Looked into this years ago it's cheaper on the insurance and easier to just go and get the item already done ie landcrusier Amazon
  11. I like the green nets where do you get those from do you use a kindlet and do the bags slide on ok.
  12. If you have a mate in the same game but not vat registered or a friendly rival team up with them. You help him with domestic work and pass him the enquires. You get the commercial work and pay him for the days.
  13. I had mine last Monday. I was down for micro fracturing but read what was involved and wimped out of that. I think it involves smashing and drilling holes to release bone marrow ooouch. If you run out of sources for your research there is also red tube and xhamster plenty of crutches on there
  14. I sometimes have a costa I suffered a Starbucks a few weeks ago warm milk. At least Costa use a proper group head and not a bean to cup machine. I complained to Starbucks that I could taste no coffee so they put another shot in and charged 50 p I was so shocked I handed it over. I think Costa at least pay a little bit of tax.
  15. I don't climb but if I am pulling hawthorn and bramble about I found I use a glove called bulldog last time I looked I could only find them in America for about £32 a pair anybody else use them ?.
  16. I always found beech great as long as it was around 10 inch. The small 4 in branches can be really twisty and create a lot of air space.
  17. Thanks for the encouragement. It's how I got into kindling disposing of my previous woodwork projects . I knocked these sheds together around Christmas time it's amazing what you can do with a radial arm saw.
  18. Stuck to the varnish. How do you turn pics 90 deg or can't u.
  19. My carpentry has never been great so I am chuffed with this. I am starting to make stuff that is actually square. I think as I have got older and slowed down I have the patients to measure and check a bit more.
  20. Yes on eBay. I tried talking the lady out of selling it when I got there with the trailer. I bought it to drag trailers round the yard but it's fairly mint. Her local garage told her the oil it was burning would stop it passing emmission test at mot time. But it was the £80 lambda sensor that was the problem.it used 4 litres of oil in 1600 miles. I bought two more for the yard £260 ea cracking little cars and pull trailers well in mud.
