    Revenge?

:confused1:Is this thread a serious request for ideas about how to get back at someone that is SUSPECTED of doing something?!?!?!?!?!!!!
  4. @ majestic: £649 before discount!!!!!!!!! At the moment I am treating it as no more than specualtion though. The rumours about this saw have been many and continuous for ages now. It say £649 in thei rliterature, but there have been alot of things said about it which have turned out not to be true.......like release dates:sneaky2:
  5. TBH i totally agree with you Spud. But i have been increasingly frustrated with stihl and esp the top handles machines recently.
  6. My 200 was really p-ing me off today. Its really past its sell by date, but it has been so troublesome that i dont really want another. The last one wasnt excellent either. And like huck says, the new 201 sounds terrible. I just hope that the august release that husky rep was on about to me is true, and that the saw is as good as it feels, coz i'l have one of those if it is. They are very very pricey though...
  7. Sacred Smurf.....
  8. 3ft dia beech.....a flippin' big one!! Like stevie says- the biggest you can afford that your machine will run. Or cut the wood smaller.

    My stag do

    Nice bottle...
  10. Me to Dave. Deffo kids?? Teenagers i suppose.
  11. This sentence makes no sense.
  12. I cant believe that only 28 people have shown an interest in the Arborist listing site Steve is ofering to put together. Come on lads and lasses- Arbtalk comes up first on nearly every imaginable tree related search on google. The publicity that could be gained from the use of this listing will be fantastic, and for the price that it's being offered at, it's a no-brainer. So come on you lot, let's make it work. That thread has had over 820 views as of 6.15pm on saturday:thumbup1:, yet only 28 positive replies. This is mega cheap, ultra effective advertising.
  13. It should be producing square flakes not long shavings, unless you are not cross cutting. You need to check your filing angle if this is the case. It sounds like you are not filing it steep enough.
  14. I dont believe a word of that- i reckon that you look like that now, and your chainsaw pics were from years ago:lol:
  15. Thats one impressive elm Joe. I have spent ages looking at the tree bible tonight, and I honestly think it IS a wych elm after all.....collins tree guide: 'a giant tree (to 40m)- even in coastal exposure. Bark: smo0oth and grey for 20 years; then grey brown shaggy ridges. Often sprouty.' Well that describes it to a tee. 'leaves almost stalkless'.that fits too. It might be the Golden wych elm. Keep an eye on the leaf colour as the summer progresses- they should get more yellow .
  16. Just got sent a link to this crazy mo'fo in russia on a yamaha R1 motorbike.....around 3 minutes in it gets really crazy IMO.
  17. Can you describe, or even better photo and ppost a pic of, your drying area, or a stack of sticked timber and the process from log to board you use. Otherwise its a bit hard to say TBH.
  18. BACS payments are free, and (with my banking group Lloyds at least) within 2 hours to an individual, and up to 4 days (which is the legal limit nowadays) to a company (eg another bank or south west water etc). In reality I have found that when i pay my groundy's wages (for example) it is instant.
  19. I prefer BACS to cash or cheques. I ask to be payed like that and pay most of my bills that way.
  20. It will deffo work.....if WE make it work by signing up!
  21. Put me down. Pm/ text me some bank details and ill even BACS the money to you.
  22. Excellent link Rupe. I think the last bit of that documantary summed up why I dislike Festivals such as Glastonbury- they are just too sanitised and 'safe ' for my liking, too commercialised. This was my home for a while parked at the forest fayre many moons ago (the multi coloured thing) which was one of the last 'proper' festies IMO. Each to their own though.
  23. That silver pine looks mental! Most memorable tree jobs have been big takedowns....all you have left is a big space, which isnt that impressive TBH. I have done some stonework jobs that will be there for many years and look ok. I suppose there is something actually tangible in that.
