  1. I use pros and alli geckos. Loveley combo. Like Huck says you wont have any problems.
  2. I would like to add that there may be a tiny bit of inability or laziness even which may lead to the attitude to which the above quote is a response....

Why do you think I dont want to get involved:blushing::lol: TBH its not alot to do, its just that I think that with some professional back up the neighbour may change their mind- in as far as the neighbour wants the hedge to fill out, but thinks that reducing the height will kill it. My old man has said otherwise, but the neighbour thinks he is just an ignorant homeowner.

Cheers for the replies. It may yet come to nothing. He is trying to get a tall hawthorn hedge reduced, but his neighbour hasnt been persuaded yet. If and when he gets it sorted I will be in touch and pass your numbers to him. Thanks again.

Are there any members from Chester here? Might need some work doing for my Father. TA.
  6. Nice thread (again) David.
  7. I especially like the shamrock at the bottom for 99p!!
  8. My stein fell apart. Very unimpressed with the quality of that helmet, although it was very comfy. Petzl all the way. I have just replaced my old petzl with the new version but havent used it in the tree yet, but on first impression it feels very nice. I like the side adjusters too rather than the back one.
  9. Its a load simpler to fit airbags than leaf springs.
  10. Used to go to the Q club (banging techno/ trance in a disused church) or Wobble- dressy house club with sprung dancefloor. That was in the 90's mind you!!
  11. Green timber used out of doors is generally fine. Green oak buildings really are just that- green!
  12. I think Treebeard uses them. He doesnt post that much, but i was working on a site with him a week or two ago and he reckoned they were ok. (if they were the ones lol)
  13. I have been using the husky technicals for a while. i have found them very light and comfy, but they are starting to fall apart now TBH. Probably look at SIPs next time. I wont buy stretch airs out of principal.
  14. MOst insurers on the right of the screen will offer tool insurance, especially (i would have thought) from a locked shed!
  15. I think the owner had mulched the tree already.
  16. Cool pics!! I see what you mean about the Bigfoot.....and the waterfall is beautiful.
  17. YOu are closer to more stuff than us down here in cornwall too.
  18. I DID watch the whole thing....i forced myself to sit through it.....and you explained that some of the stubs were to be cut back, and you did show some of them cut back, but you also pointed out some that werent, and you explained that you were happy to leave them.
  19. A well set up alaskan with attention paid to rails is VERY accurate, and those narrow band blade mills can waver alot. Mine doesnt like ash in big sizes at all i have to admit.
  20. If accuracy is your thing then a chainsaw mill isnt really the way forward. Look at small bandsaw mill, although there will ALWAYS be a degree of inaccuracy whatever miling process you use, every stage of timber conversion increases accuracy.
  21. Ah right. In the defender I have "permanent 4x4" on the road, with a diff in the centre box. In order to lock the axles I would have to buy and fit aftermarket diffklocks in the axles, engage centre diff lock, and then would have to lock each axle.
  22. Locking both axle diffs and the centre diff?
  23. What does 'cross locks' mean after it says it has diff locks?
