Currently looking to upgrade to 7.5t truck and I think I've got it down to he Japanese ones Isuzu NQR/ Canter 7.5t or the Iveco 65's does anyone have opinions to offer on either or possibly some other vehciles? Mainly looking out for he his heat payload and I know these jap trucks are excellent for that as a chassis cab they only weigh in it about 2.5t leaving 5t for a body and chip, what's the payload for the ivecos and what else is worth considering and why? I didn't try the easy Friday method, but have pushed my pricing up gradually over the last 4-5 months and It doesn't seem to make much difference to up take, you just make more, however I wouldn't have tried this earlier as the volume of calls wasn't there to take the risk with. 13. I've got this Hunter, can anyone shed any light on the model and output etc? Keeps the living room very warm after a few hours and the chimney radiates plenty of heat around the rooms and hallway upstairs, but there is no air control other than how tight you shut the door. 17. Spend £12-£15k on a chipper and the balance on a truck. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  18. It all comes off your tax bill at the end of the year so no big deal really, I just think of it as an extension of my tax savings. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  19. You'll only find out by having a go, bear in mind there is more to it than climbing trees and chipping wood though. And buying the kit is one of the smaller costs, running it and keeping it maintained to a high standard is far more costly. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  20. Yes, I'd expect it to increase in value as it was purchased just as prices started to rise. If it doesn't it provides an excellent place to live and run a business from which is great. Purely for investment I would have looked at other properties. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  21. Why? Forums are for opinions. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  22. I did mine recently, mthe reverse manoeuvre is a simple S reverse across a yard into a bay you have to stop yet trailer inside a 600mm long box can only get out and look once. Then there's an hour long road drive as per normal driving test which is the hard part and a coupling and uncoupling test. I did a bit of training to ensure my road driving was up to spec and passed with 3 minors. Beware of training companies so many try to flog you a big package and tell you that you can't drive ! WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  23. I use a a sunny Groundy Quite regularly, good ones are hard to find so if you have the skills and work ethic there's work there. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  24. I find it a bit worrying that the majority opinion here seems to be that being 'average' should entitle you to a nice, large house and I presume to other trappings of success. I've recently purchased a very nice house in my opinion and a few of my friends of a similar age have done the same, all you need is a good set of books or payslips and a deposit and your away . Furthermore IMO without an imbalance in wealth, an elite and the poor capitalism wouldn't work and there would be no incentive to strive for more and work harder than the next man or be more academic etc etc. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
