  1. I had one of the first 201s and also have a later one both blow any of my or friends 200s out of the water hands down, they are better in every way. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  2. Nice project and the chipbox looks great , however with such a small payload it seems a bit futile . A landy would have carried more , had good resale value as you mentioned that was a big factor and probably been cheaper to run , even on white.
  3. Around £1000 if drag out is as bad as it sounds. 1 load of chip 2 loads of logs. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  4. I as far as I'm aware restricted just means you are restricted to hauling your own goods and equipment rather than transporting for hire or reward for others. As far as CPC goes I see that no one really knows so may be best to do it anyway.
  5. It's restricted but anywhere in Europe, obviously as tree workers driving isn't our main job, but I didn't find an example to suit on the website. I.e Driver A drives the vehicle to his place of work using it to Carry the tools of his trade then fills the vehicle with the product( some might call this waste) of his work and drives homem. Driver A does not need CPC
  6. Either, do I need it as an operator and do my drivers need it?
  7. I have just applied for an O License and have been getting conflicting information with regard to CPC. I was under the impression that as tree workers we didn't require it as driving is not our main job but some sources have told me other wise but weren't sure. So could the other operators on here quote some legislation to clarify this or at least tell me what you do and why . Thanks WM Tree Services Best Kent Tree Surgeons for Professional Tree Surgery Work in Maidstone
  8. That doesn't look too dissimilar to the heart wood on the table top ? Anyway I found some stuff a joiner friend recommended ronseal worktop oil, only darkened the colour slightly and it's antibacterial and waterproof seems to be working quite well but will keep you updated. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  9. Well apparently all their stuff is teak , and it's bloody heavy so can't be bad.
  10. Also there are some black markings in various places like this-
  11. Yes as far as I know. Doesn't look as red as Yew to me though
  12. I just want it to look about the same as it does now. It comes I fished as they claim it's so dry I two t stain or some bs I did t believe. I will post a picture shortly .
  13. I have a table on the way made of Teak which arrives unfinished what oil would you guys recommend to protect it but keep the colour as natural as possible ?
  14. Lower tier is free that's all we need. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  15. I had the injector seal leak on my Vito 110CDI was an easy fix just loosened off the clamp that held it in and went for a drive (as they're always stuck in there) and the compression popped it out in about 2 miles.then got someone to fit anew seal washer and re tap the thread for the clamp bolt, jobs a good un. If I remember correctly most of the pullers destroy the injector in the process of removing them so driving them out can be best, yet never recommended by mechanics WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  16. 28 days inc. bank holidays WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  17. Pick a 6 figure number and double it and then some. They're bulletproof I had two high milers and both never missed a beat.
  18. If you've no idea how to do this it's probably too soon. You need to cover all costs and make money , whatever you need to charge to do this is the right price.
  19. Adams gas margate, I paid £60-£70 for the bottle and it's about £30 per refill for C02 argoshield is a little more. No rental and they deliver
  20. I bought my first grinder about 2 years ago danequip 25sp self propelled same as the similar dosko, rayco and Carlton machines only cost £2k and earns me thousands every year brilliant machine and has only needed one minor repair (sub £200) other than the usual belts and other wear items. Go as big as you can, but I'd keep it pedestrian for the access if your only going to have one. Yesterday mine did a 18" EUC stump similar sized conifer 15" apple some small palms and 4ftx2ft patch of Acubas in about an hour and a half, if you keep a pedestrian machine sharp and with tight belts they can give some great production! 21. As above prices for leads are a bit much. £7 for a. £100 job !!! And the customers generally want to stick to their budget rigidly , at first I thought they went in low to entice more people to buy the lead, but they really do think you'll remove 10 30ft conifers for £250 or less lol
  22. Sounds to be at least £200 worth. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
  23. They're a simple machine, engine and a flywheel with belts between not a great deal to go wrong as long as you have a look for any signs of the major components having issues, stick to the top brands as well and you should be fine. WM Tree Services http://www.bestkenttreesurgeons.co.uk
