You can legally carry chip without as long as it's on white, but then as your not ag at all really it should be on an o license.

If it's a cummins it will be a 2500 so it's 4x4, they still have poor grip though due to the big bendy chassis.

Don't waste your time, big springs won't make it right or legal. But if you must there are lots of companies who will make a spring for whatever truck you choose to your required weight. -
I thought all the pick ups were hicap ? Either way you need something with the 3.5t gross weight to build from then ripping off whatever is on there and putting a tipper and subframe in should be fairly simple.

Mine will hold 1200kg and be very close to 3.5t gross and it drives fine like that whilst towing, also they hold more than most 3.5t trucks LEGALY....this is the key, if your not convo earned about that then a transit with 6 cube box is fine. But if your working at a decent rate any 3.5t vehicle will have to tip 3+ times per day.

If you occasionally need 4x4 and can afford it get a defender tipper, they're no different to run than any other 3.5t vehicle. I don't think there is a perfect vehicle though I run a landy tipper 18t tipper and crane ifor tipping trailer and L200 if you have a selection you can usually chip and change to suit a job. And if your making the most of each pieces strong points the days they are sat idle won't matter.

I used an impact gun on my 201 last week, sheared the flywheel key. Funny thing is I just refitted the flywheel in roughly the eight position and tightened it up and it works perfectly still ! Also the Stihl piston stops hat form with a. Sprocket kit are rubbish I snapped one off in my other 201 just using a ratchet to undo the clutch, use rope.

They cost the same to run as any other 3.5t vehicle, if this is a concern maybe the berlingo? The faults on the td5 are the same as many common rail diesel in the main so nothing to be concerned about

I stand corrected, I thought they were mostly or all 5.5t 7.5t makes sense.

No payload, poor towing capacity surely a mog would do everything an RB44 can do better?

Should be able to build a fresh body for about £500, or patch it up and replace bits for less but would probably take longer.

It's difficult to say when exactly I started trying to form my own business as such as I've always been self employed and liked to buy things and have a deal etc. but I'd say probably took about 2 years to have full time work, however if I knew what advertising worked and didn't before this could have been achieved a lot quicker. Now probably about 4 years in have one full time employee a few subbies that I use regularly and all the usual kit plus an O license. Finding what advertising works is key IMO some magazines and sites are just like throwing your money away but others are a gold mine!

No they're fora niche market, if you have £5k buy a used towable chipper, it will serve you better on 99% of jobs -

Stop obsessing over milage and age and just buy something that's better but in good condition and well looked after. Age and mileage isn't everything there's plenty of nice vehicles about that are a bit older but absolutely mint and generally go wrong less than all the new stuff. I ran a campaign in addition to my other advertising g early last year or year before spending £1-200 a month and it was great turned it off in the end as we couldn't keep up with the extra work. To make it pay you have to think very carefully about the key words and exact match broad match etc
