    Push harder as you bore in. Think of it as a stubbon horse/ woman. Use the inside of your leg braced up against your hand/back handle, and to add extra force. Start off at a less steep angle and cut in3-4" befor you start to bring it paralell with the back of the hinge. Finnally make sure that you are not in the line of fire if it does kick back.

    Before you start tomorrow, raise your concernes to the instructor. If after that nothing is done about it, make sure that you fill in the feed back sheet that you will have to do at the end of the course. In addition if you are still unhappy and you feel that the course has not been run properly, phone the assessment centre and NPTC. Once a compaint has been made then it will be looked into and hopefullly sorted out.

    Having a tidy up and i have found a compete 026 parts diagram with all the stihl parts numbers. As mine has now gone to the great forest in the sky it is of no use. Is it of any use to anybody out there ? P.M. me your address if it is. P.S. in the unlikely advent that lots of people want it, i will draw one at random P.P.S it is a paper copy.

    The long fibers will clog everything.

    Where ever you have your secondary/ strop attached there will alway be a small amount of movement that has been generated by the cutting action of the chain. Once you have been climbing a while you will not notice.

    Quad or similar with a mounted winch. Use the winch to lower/raise yourself up and down the slope, and have a flail mounted on the back of the quad. You will need some good anchors at the top of the slope.

    Yes it will, as i have one in mine. The engine mounts need to be moved, and bell housing needs to be modified, and all the pipes at the front of the enginne need to be lenghtened.

    Black mountain fly. As it has not been cold they might be out earlier than usual, and these pesky little blighters pack a powerfull bite simular to horse flies.

    You have to be ruthlessly effecient, and prepared to work long hours. You will also need to outlay on some expensive equipment.
