    Food for thought, particularly for rigging applications where the ropes we use have very little stretch.

    Lighter fluid works well (petrol one). The nozzle is excatly the right size for the hole, and you can give a satisfying squirt. It does not stain and only smells for a short time.

    Tis a good saw, but it does not sound like a stihl anymore. I put it down to the spring vibration dampeners. It also does not 'tinkle' when it is running with the chain brake off. Not that i do such thing.

    You have to be carefull, sweet lady cider can be a cruel mistress. Very partial to slack ma girdle cider, but i have not found it in west Wales, so i will have to wait until i head down to the south west.
