  1. I use to have my saws and quality kit stored in those old tall food cages ? You know just like the ones found floating about the old coop car parks . I adapted them by welding locks and took off the wheels . Mini secure cage for free Another option is a Gas Bottle storage cage Or just dig a sizable hole in the base of your shed or garage and concrete in a large site box Then park your Van / Chipper over the top of it .
  2. The best high sides you can get on a budget are old metal garage doors or the hoarding ie solid sheet fencing that is used on building sites and the like . Just add a bit of angle iron and welding for the frame and paint
  3. That Particular power pack is an asset to any business

  7. Although I sharpen my own with a homemade jig . On a bench grinder and it works a treat .
  8. If its only a couple of quid keep taking them there Sounds like your getting a good deal
  9. Anyone one of you lady's or gentlemen use one ? Basically its a carbide tipped disc that fits on to any petrol cut off saw aka a stihl saw . Cuts through stumps ... well roots . Just after some feed back . I have a job soon that requires 48 x 8 " Conifer stumps to be removed . Just thought this may help as no grinder could access them . Not even that magnum stihl thingy Still happy to use my trusty axe . Just thought this would speed things up ?

  15. Yes always We did a test on an old Ash tree many years ago . Me and one other spiked up the poor thing on many occasions . We practiced gaffing out and many different stropping techniques . This tree has now healed up completely . It was old and way past its best back in the day . It looks just the same today more than 17 yrs on or there about's
  16. Mmmm guilty here also I always have my boots on especially when hedge cutting Gotta love a bit of denim at work . I,m a big fan of chaps in the summer months . Although when summer turns up its to hot to wear them When I,m ringing up timber I do always wear my trusty chaps .
  17. When we have a Dead wooding job on the cards . I will take a few spare log nets with me and fill them with the dry dead chips . I use them mainly when lighting the fire . Mix the chips in with the newspaper and kindling . Works a treat in my little 5kw multi fuel burner .
