1. Twice a year I scrape the old grease out of the housing and fill with fresh grease that goes for all my hedge cutters . Also give them a blast with the grease gun from time to time .
2. WD 40 is mostly fish oil with the addition of some man made chemicals . I use rape seed oil or sunflower oil on the cutter blades . Give them a good clean off with ....... petrol once a month a rinse with water and then slap some sunflower oil back on . Right or wrong it works for me
3. If you did not fell the Conifers then I would be asking for top dollar ....
4. You old brick wot wot then old chap
5. Top reply as per usual
6. Read .... pull up a chair fella its on ............ding ding round 1 wearing red stein's size 9 a fake stihl hoody bald head and class 1's lol

8. Bloody hell .....kids and more I was going to say what was your weekend drive a Spitfire lol ......then I looked at your name again Ex RAF ?
9. Word up ......Gravel for you matey . Pics please from start to finish .
10. I have a limestone chipping driveway . Which has a 10ft twin wheel trailer running over it every day not to mention my truck / chipper and stumpy . I spread normal salt or rock salt over it to keep the weeds down and it works for me . Although my rear garden patio is Block paved and looks a tad better I would struggle to remove oil stains from my block paving and doubt it would take the abuse I give my gravel . Just saying what Ive found from my experience
11. Cool hope it works out for you
12. Remember you can't help everyone matey . Dont let this stop you from putting in your positive advice . Not all Ivy's poisonous... Anyhow this felling malarkey is and should be free of targets ? Pricing via pics is a massive gamble ? Some trees I would fell for your price other's maybe not . To many variables timber sales chip on site or remove ?
13. Cheers ears
14. When you say flint do you mean Golden gravel ? Never use slate for a driveway as it cuts your tyres .
15. Nail on the head there matey . I cleaned a garden up once only to find I still got crap on my rope halfway up a decent sized pop . Now when I quote I ask that the garden is free from dog mess a few days before work starts . Still you always get the odd few who try to clear up on the morning of the job ? So I just drop onto another job . I haven't the time patience or will to educate people with deaf ears . They know its wrong ...
16. Gravel drive edged with block paving looks good and will last . Ok so a bit of maintenance is required ie a weed spray from time to time . Spill some oil no problem a good raking will disperse the stained gravel and that goes for mud to obviously not tons of the stuff . Never use pea gravel /round gravel as it will not compact and always banks up . Angular gravel ie limestone chippings and the like will not bank up as much and compacts much better . If you ever have a drainage problem or for whatever reason you need to dig up your gravel driveway .....its not a problem as it will go back down a treat . Not the case for tarmac , concrete print and the like
17. Cool enjoy but be sure to share any amazing pics
18. sounds like an interesting plan . Seriously wait until you see the pics of his demoltion job
19. Happy days
20. Self employed here and I have as many days off as I can . Im 44 yrs old and worked hard all my life . Two grown lads at home 19 and 14 so me and my lady escape once a month for two nights whether it be up the road in a travel lodge or living it up in London . Always have at least 10 nights abroad in the sun once a year ....its good for your bones . Im just starting to become more relaxed with regards work . When I think back to the hours I did week after week it was crazy 60 / 72 hrs was not unheard of ? Talk about being stressed out . Hey I was young and could cope now my bones will not take it . Im on site for 9 am Mon / Friday and really want to be gone 3 pm if I can . The only problem is I always have to play catch up on Saturday morning
21. I have a job on Saturday morning where a naughty neighbor has hopped over a 5 ft fence and tried to prune / reduce another homeowners Sycamore with a bow saw .The cuts are ripped and torn out . The worst part is that the home owner has just died at 80yrs old and the son has now got to deal with the jumped up gonk who has caused all this mess ? Me personally I would bust his nose and dig up his front lawn ? Not met the trouble maker yet but Im looking forward to this weekends work Already have some choice words for this hero . Pics to follow . Its the worse case I have seen for a while .
22. Diamond place to play . Lots of cool toys . Kinda jealous here fella Keep them pics coming in matey
23.
Sorry to hear George Cole ....aka Arthur Daley has passed away today at the beautiful age of 90 . Minder what a bloody good Tv Show to grow up alongside ; ) I thought I was Terry McCann for a few years . Then I become Lewis Collins lol .

24. Cool ..... if that's the case further investigation is required ? Often our machine has been blocked by wet conifer . Although trying to enlighten the lads with regards to a proper cleaning out of the flywheel housing and chipper chute still falls on deaf ears ? It still amazes me that a little twig / stick can block a 6 / 9 " machine lol
25. Conifers are very dense maybe a 4" elm would go straight through your machine ..... but a piece of 4" Conifer with all the green waste attached to it would and could present the equivalent of a 7 or 8 inch limb ? Just saying
