  1. Sorry to hear this fella . These rip off merchants are everywhere nowadays ? I guess they wouldn't be to happy if you rocked up and robbed anything off them . What a song and dance they would make . Two faced beggars . Me personally I would refund the £ 30 notes as a good will gesture . Make sure that the lady of the house is to deal with you and only you . Anyone else turns up purporting to be you or from you company let her know to call 999 .
  2. Aye you have had some good signings and no doubt will do well . Thanks for the advice ..... new battery and wiring and also pushed the sensor close as I dare to the flywheel has solved the problem . Chipping great once again Thanks to all who offered advice Keep spitting chips people .
  3. Thumbs up for no casualties . Keep us updated matey .
  4. Some narrow streets round there Eggs . Hope know one was hurt .
  5. Over the years I,ve ran numerous vehicles and chippers . Expanded the business to a crew of three full time and myself . Due to stress and workload I,m now running a skeleton shift of one l200 crewcab . Two chippers and a 10ft trailer . Plus my trusty ram stumper . I could not be happier . Chip into the l200 every day and tip off within 3 miles max of the work site . Bigger jobs my good lady will bring the chipper to work for me .I then proceed to chip into the l200 and the trailer and when Im done she will come and pick up the chipper . Last year I did less than 5000 miles Suits me for now
  6. First thing after tomorrows job I will be on it . Much obliged to you Mr Hoddy and all the best to the Hammers this season
  7. Lucky beggar
  8. Thanks people . I really appreciate it . Flywheel sensor is a good 5 mm from the flywheel it may of worked loose ? Battery charged and all associated wiring to be replaced tomorrow . Switches all in order and cleaned . Electrickery for sure . Bypassing may be a temp option
  9. I also offer free chippings for a small delivery charge .
  10. Over the years I have built up a good amount of customers who will buy direct from site ie ...an 8ft x 4 ft trailer of whatever we are cutting is £ x . Obviously depending on wood type . The wood is as it comes ...( if i can lift it ..you can ) . The top quality wood Beech, Ash, Oak, Birch and so on will go to the yard for firewood . I only do this so my yard isn't full of second rate firewood and it clears the site quickly . They come and load up there own trailers then pay up . There happy so am I . Very surprising once I've sent a text out to them how quick they arrive . They save me fuel and labour and buy my second rate timber Hope this helps ? Trailer is more versatile if your tip site is suitable .
  11. Yes it always has done on stuff of around 3" and the like . Smaller stuff it flys through ?
  12. Electrical sounds about right
  13. Evening all I hope some of you amazingly talented people could point me in the right direction ? The Hydraulic single roller feed on my old Tw 125 works all well and good until it is faced with anything bigger than 3" ? At this point the rollers stop and take an absolute age to kick in again . Even when the revs have picked up ? All suggestions welcome . Thanks in advance to all who reply
  14. Got our little firefox 5 on in the front room Burning some Ash and Beech...... perks of the job quality firewood . Nice and toasty . Whilst I'm doing quotes and checking out recent post's on Arbtalk .
  15. One slip with that and it could be bye bye to his nudger
  16. Ooh bring it up with you . I have someone in mind that needs his nose trimming . He is a nosy neighbor
  17. Dont get me wrong people . Im all for helping and I do . Its just that we seem to be helping everyone all the time ? There is a lot that needs doing in our country also .
  18. Yes we are very fortunate to live in the uk . I for one hope it stays that way . Although if the government keeps on letting criminals into the country its going to become a very tense place to live especially in the big city's . My real gripe is the fact that many new arrivals will not integrate ? Many times I have popped into a corner shop 6 miles from my home . Just lately it seems to be full of none speaking middle eastern young men . Who stare at us in an unfriendly way . The atmosphere was once good with general chit chat now they just grunt and will not give you the time of day .
  19. Whilst I was doing my yearly trim of a Conifer hedge owned by a local to me Police Officer . We got talking as we do every year . I wasn't at all surprised to find out that the reported sex crimes in the area have tripled . Yes your right nearly all were committed by foreigners seeking refuge in the uk
  20. I've had a TW for 12 years, it's good, but like everything as they get older you need to be simpatico and handy with the spanners. . Yes same here regarding the TW . I have always wondered how much I would of spent on maintaining / repairing and sharpening my chippers and stumpy . If I wasn't handy with my spanners ? Handy with a spanner ain't got no bearing on the film scum however cool Ray's spanner was at that particular time . Only older folk will understand this ..... ( wheres your tool ) Class .
  21. Tw and Jensen are top machines . Although do not be so quick to disregard any other quality kit as poorly maintained equipment will perform ...... crappy . Just saying...... any quality machine that is maintained will perform its duties very well . To many variables to contend with . Its dam hard nowadays to get a comparison ie like for like on many modern machines . Get a demo of your most favorite chippers and then compare then
  22. Fair point .... and so true Every blighter seems to be a tree surgeon nowadays . Tip my hat to you fella for making the move
  23. Mick ...... your are a devil Why move to France couldn't you keep up with the rat race in the uk
  24. Yes but if a bit of banter was had over the fence . I,m sure this could of been avoided . Chit chat / banter so easily could of found some common ground It is really sad how many millions of people don't even know there neighbors nowadays let alone speak to them
  25. Yes nail on the head
