  1. Blocks are obsolete Matty, we just don’t know it yet.
  2. I’m having a night off the drink, it’s only 4%. Counts as part of my 5-a-day as well.
  3. I’ll be giving the daal one a bash @Mark J. Love it.
  4. The K&H wedges that @RobD sells at chainsawbars.co.uk are excellent. Great range of sizes as well. I have a couple of old steel faithfuls that I bought years ago from a local agri place that still get a good battering now and again, especially for splitting rings after boring.
  5. Sorted. He’s just going to tell them he’s been a pikey for the last 10 years.
  6. Thanks fellas, I’ll pass all this on. I can’t work out if it’s better for him to do it while all this drama is going on or to wait for some kind of normality to return.
  7. No, he’s not at all arsed about making money due to the pandemic or anything, he mentioned it before it all started. He means long term.
  8. I met this lad I used to climb with a couple of months ago. Great bloke, great climber, but always was a bit of a free spirit hardcore hippy arb type, living day to day, travelling, off up to the hills for weeks etc. Turns out he was living in a camper on his grans drive and had been completely ‘off grid’ for about 10 years. Never claimed anything, but never paid anything in either. He called me last night and asked if I had any ideas about how he could get back in the system again. Rather than just have him call HMRC I thought I’d ask on here to see if anyone had any ideas or experience they could offer.
  9. Normal weights/callisthenics/chins etc. for me, and dusted off the mountain bike at the weekend. I bought some squat stands before the madness started, so I’m back on those bastards as well!
  10. Flapjacks yesterday with the kids. Turned out a bit soft and the recipe I used had too much sugar for my taste, but they are disappearing quick!
  11. Nah, im too grumpy about duchy and his castles. Really i should go and have deeks does look like a good project. It’s well worth a look mate. You could go in disguise!
  12. Have you been there @billpierce? It’s pretty impressive.
  13. Here’s one I made for the kids yesterday.
  14. All totally true Will, and absolutely no more dangerous than shopping, home delivered or not.
  15. Slow cooked chicken casserole here. Onions, garlic, broccoli, carrots, leeks, stock, herbs and spices and 1/3 bottle of cheapo chardonnay. To be served up with roasties after dog walk.
  16. I would leave it there. It might help a bit in the coming drought.
  17. Let’s hope it’s not a virus....
  18. Just got this from a mate in Oz. Probably a bit late if this weekends fucking jolly boys outing is anything to go by.
  19. I’m teaching the kids today. I think by this afternoon I’ll wish I was 100’ up a dead lombardy in high winds. We are still planning on doing work, all rural, with zero customer contact. Stay safe fellas.
  20. I have used hoes in the past, but fail to see how that will deal with my leatherjacket problem?
  21. 2nd cut today, a week since the last. Certainly makes you feel better about life. I have a leatherjacket problem though. Tips welcome!
