  1. Don’t ask me how I know this.
  2. Peasant! A loose bollard is a total clusterfuck waiting to happen. Just chuck one, straps, a loopie and various crabs on top of everything else and see what happens.
  3. I think this is a very valid post. If you want to chip 6” timber then a 6” chipper is not the way forward.
  4. I’ve yet to see a perfect solution to this. I carry my bollard, straps etc. separately to my ‘normal’ rigging kit in a tough plastic rectangular tub with rope handles, but it’s a pita to carry any distance.
  5. Hahahaha, if arb goes tits-up Jay you’d get a job writing headlines for The Sun no problem!
  6. The media seem to focus on some people who are hard hit, but were running a shit business before the pandemic. One hipster was selling loaves of artisan bread to people in house boats, baked in a normal kitchen oven. Probably made about £20 a day. ’Lockdown ruined my life’. Boo hoo hoo.
  7. What’s the craic in the aviation industry when the world opens up again Paddy? Will it still be a long time before they need the same amount of people doing the jobs? Obviously hospitality is bolloxed, but I can see it bouncing back very, very quickly.
  8. Same Carlos, they do them in a screw gate version now as well if you require extra security. Don’t tell your wife I told you about them Rob!
  9. Reminds me of the bloke who went to his doctor and said - ’I think my wife has died’. Doctor said - ‘What do you mean you THINK your wife has died? Why?’ ’Well’, said the bloke. ’The sex is still the same, but the washing-up is starting to pile up’.
  10. I knew you wouldn’t let me down.... 😊
  11. I’ve got a 160, but I work pretty much 50/50 with a mate who’s got a 230 (older 35hp diesel, one of the last). It’s night and day on chipping capability, the 230 pretty much eats anything we can drag to the hopper. Can’t comment on the Greenmech, haven’t used one for a long time, although I know you will get good back up from Pete on here and the team. I also have no experience of the ST6 although I’ve used an ST8 a fair bit and was very impressed. Where are you? Local dealer service helps a lot when you need it. I’m in Kent, but use Greenplant in Guildford which is a bit of a yap but their service and understanding of Timberwolf machines can’t really be bettered. I personally find them pretty easy to work on, and parts availability is great.
  12. I refer the matter to my learned friend @kevinjohnsonmbe....
  13. Love that idea. Living walls are pretty cool.
  14. I did a decade with my 125, agree with everything you say. Intrigued as to why the TW230 isn’t on your list?
  15. I like it. For the top you could run a scaffold board (preferably planked leylandii) horizontally with vertical logs as capping. Miss every other one to create the effect that you live in a castle, or point them if you want to stop the pesky redskins getting in your garden.
  16. Get an XRSE screw gate.
  17. He meant music to my ear, obviously.
  18. I think in the domestic sector the weather plays a big part. After a nice weekend the phone usually gets busy because people have been out in their gardens and decide to have stuff done. Or after high winds when they crap themselves seeing their tree blowing about.
  19. Parry’s a nut case! Ray would have come up with a different solution. Bear would probably have stuck his cock in there.
  20. I reckon you could climb every day for a thousand years and not have the pin push out, even if you tried really, really hard. Glad it’s on your harness Rich, nightmare to fit in a kit bag.
  21. Because he is white, middle-aged and male?
  22. I’ve met Ray and he’s a really nice, unassuming bloke. I’m a Bear fan as well, I just think a lot of what he does is deliberately more scripted for media impact. Pretty sure they are both the real deal, just different styles. The closest I’ve got to wild camping is probably when I pitched up next to @eggsarascal at one of Jonesie’s shows.
  23. In a word, yes. Great post from Jay earlier, sums it up nicely.
  24. I told mine years ago it was illegal to put an order in and not buy at least one biner.
