  1. I feel guilty now, I think we’re being a bit hard on @Mark J.
  2. Jesus you had me worried for a minute Stubby! Clint is the man. Bastards trick to put shite like that out, why do people do it? Morgan Freeman has died several times as well, another brilliant bloke you’d love to sit down and have a beer with.
  3. That looks well handy. Any idea of the weight with an empty bin on?
  4. Sorry about my joke mate, couldn't resist. I think judging on what you have said about multiple tip trips etc. you should just go for it. I'm downsizing now after running an overloaded 3.5 tonner for years, but if I was on my way up rather than down I'd go down the 7.5t route no question. The footprint of the vehicles isn't massively bigger for domestic drives etc. and as Ben says the trucks are built for the job a lot better. I think the O licence thing scares people off a bit, but as someone once said it can't be that difficult because scaffolders do it!
  5. He then tries to pay with some vouchers and a kidney donor card. Which are at the bottom of his bag, of course.
  6. You don’t want to be running a lager truck mate, it will end badly. I speak from experience.
  7. 10/10 for logistical planning there Ian.
  8. Don’t spoil my fun you old git!
  9. Idiot. Think of all that petrol you’ve wasted over the years.
  10. Good call. No one in here ever comes up with anything ludicrous....
  11. Not at all. You’ve just started a Stihl vs. Ego topic in my head. I thought I’d put that kind of stuff behind me years ago.... My mate has used one and says it’s not a bad piece of kit for what it is. I would like to point out that this would be purely for my own domestic situation. I have plenty of petrol hedecutters for commercial work. The idea of a quiet unit for pressure free trimming on a Sunday is quite appealing. Never too far from the charger, which just by chance would be located near the workshop beer fridge.
  12. Pete is 6’2” but has size 10’s.
  13. Also young ‘uns today seem to have massive feet! My mate’s lad is size 11, and he’s only 11.
  14. Make sure you talk quickly mate, and don’t offer them a brew.
  15. It’s repeat business though Dan.
  16. Jesus Christ mate, you’ve only just got back in touch with her!
  17. Shouldn’t you be on your way to Stoke?
  18. I’ve just moved into a new house that has a lot of fussy little shrubs. My hedge utters will be pure overkill for most of them. Does anyone have any experience of one of these little bad boys? Comes with a lawn edging attachment as well. Is it any good, or is it the sort of thing that would struggle on a tough daisy and be wielded only by retired accountants with elastic-waisted comfort trousers?
  19. You didn’t chicken out mate, you used your brain.
  20. Danny Mac was in on the fell and he has climbed some really hairy stuff. He was amazed that Von had climbed that high, and nailed half the tree from that anchor (pics don’t show the lower stuff). Ash is a bastard of a tree when it’s compromised, and I predict a lot of climbers will die when chalara takes hold. (This tree didn’t have chalara). I wish more bosses had your attitude Ian.
