You could do that for sure, I just think the padding makes it comfier than having the plastic sheath digging into your leg. Not everyone gets on with them, but I wouldn’t be without mine. The price isn’t much of a factor as they last for years if you stick the straps together when not in use. They look cool in the shop as well.

    Have you tried it?
  4. You is well racist. GLM.
  5. He’s not British, he’s a Manc.
  6. Cracking pics.
  7. We don’t know the full story Les, none of us were there. I can guarantee I’ve done jobs for £1k that I should have put £2k on back in the day. Looked a fairly straightforward big day to me, but lack of access pics didn’t help. Glad you got it sorted OP, thanks for following up.
  8. Food IS too cheap mate, but it’s not the producers who want cheap prices? I’m totally with you on the waste thing, it’s an utter disgrace.
  9. That’s a good answer Paul, it’s grown because there is a need for it and it pays. Simple agri-economics. The subsidies thing is a can of worms. Most farmers I know would rather be paid a fair price for what they do in the first place and not need them. It’s a bit more deep than that though.
  10. Apologies for the f word Arbtalk rules fans, I couldn’t find a better substitute to get my point across.
  11. How would you grow forage beet then Paul? Fairy dust?
  12. Well said Matty. Squaredy you are talking like a townie who drives a Prius and thinks they are saving the planet without giving enough thought to where the electricity comes from. Do you have any idea how much diesel a big arable farm gets through in a year? Oh great, they can just all go out and buy a Tesla combine and the price of food will stay the same. Really simplistic, badly thought out post. Just because the government want to fuck everyone over who actually works for a living doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good idea.
  13. 👍
  14. That is one time that taking your work home with you would be a good thing. Have a word. You’ll be Employee of the Month in no time.
  15. That’s a shame. I was about to set some shops on fire and steal a TV and some expensive trainers.
  16. Jesus, I didn’t realise they shot him as well.
  17. She was probably within her rights to just shoot him, she shouldn’t have mentioned the Taser, it makes her look incompetent.
  18. Absolutely, there’s no excuse for a mistake of that magnitude.
  19. Some Tasers are quite hand-gun like. Good points about compliance, like.
  20. Rich Rule is the man to ask about this, he has both. Can’t tag him for some reason.
  21. Amen to that Conor!
  22. @trigger_andy has just commented on this kind of thing on a different thread. I believe Big J knows his stuff as well, can’t tag him for some reason. Like @Johnsond, I nearly killed myself with whisky when I was a young pup, and can just about tolerate it 3 decades later. I’d quite like to rediscover some nice single malts to enjoy as a sipping drink. Rather than drinking nearly 2 bottles of Grouse at a house party and falling asleep in a bath. Which was quite handy because I spewed and pissed myself.
  23. Not today, Wednesday and Thursday on a dead willow over a moat at a manor house. Prep and fence dismantle and reinstatement took about 3/4 of a day! Von’s new GRCS is a total game changer. Macca dumped a few big bits in the moat which winched out with minimum effort. IMG_4981.MOV
  24. Although divorce is quite expensive these days.
  25. They look great. I really fancy getting one to mount above the fireplace.
