Hope this sorts it.

    ladders or not

    Strange collage you went to!
  5. Like whats been said Dave, call the big guns they will tell you but i have a feeling you will have to pay duty on it unless you can pay in yank money, i had a yank mate years ago who worked over here and we were both into big model aircraft, he got payed in $ (Yank millatry) bought engines from the us at half our price and got them shipped over with no duty.
  6. Good buy that, mint saw and 2 chains and bars.
  7. Why not just use an Alaskan then and not have the offset? +/-2mm is actually quite a lot and it sounds like hassle having to join to timberjigs togeher.
  8. But what are you going to be doing exactaly? Those tickets will cover you for ground work and felling but all you will end up doing is knackin connys and small stuff, what about climbing work, most tree work involves climbing to some degree, also not all tree work is felling, what about pruning work, crown lifting etc etc, if you get someone in all the time you wont make much money.
  9. 13 Pages for 1 reduction, hell i would of jumped up there with me spikes and spirit level and just topped it.................good old pikie fhasion .
  10. Same as, if you take it back YOU will have a second hand pc and worth half the price of a new one! He could of done anything with it in the space of a week..................So NO.
  11. I don't think thats a bad job really, yes it's a bit heavy for a beach but you kept a good shape and done it well with no tears or snapped cuts. i wouldnt worry about it, come next spring the punter will be happy. You gotta get your head round the fact the customer is always right even when there wrong. They pay the bills after all! and your a contractor. Got to be better than gettin the pikies in and toppin it with a spirit level across the top!
  12. Thought about sommat like this to go on the back of LAYLA, (my Leyland384) my only concern is that its ok if your buying nice straight lenths in but as arb waste goes will it cope, would a big home made bench with a chainsaw mounted in it and a cone splitter on the tractor work better? got a petrol hydraulic splitter but want sommat on the tractor to speed things up.
  13. Well done Liam, lovely kit you got there, Didnt realise T/W did em in 6xXL:lol:
  14. An old guy phoned the other day asking for log prices, i told him and got the reply"how much, i have never bought wood before, didnt realise it was that expensive (im at the cheaper end round here) i have an axe and a chainsaw i can cut it up myself if its cheaper. I just said no, oh and its a min delivery of 2 bags to you as its a 10m run easch way. Would they go and pick there own coal up and get the car covered in sh1t or ring tescos up and ask if they could have cheap food if they packed it? NO so why should we give cheap wood away. im nearly sold out and price will be going up next year.
  15. Just a redneck dickhead trying to look cool in front of this wife and kids, let him get on with it he will learn the hard way...........when he cant have a ham shank cos he cut his arm off!
  16. But your L/A bob, all you lads ever want is an easy life:001_tt2:
  17. I have had loads of calls for people wanting rings and timber to cut up and split, i just say no i only sell logs, how much do you charge for a "car" load? way i see it is ther just after cheap wood, i make more on logs per bag than in rings. Guess your a bit diferent as you dont do logs so i guess i would say £40 per ton delivered or £30 if they want to pick up from your yard. What ever you do dont let them have it cheap, there only after cheap fuel and doing another log man out of trade.
  18. Now that is cool, if he went out past 6pm he could scoop chavs up with it aswell.
  19. Dont give all you sercet info away tommer, tommer it at the cutting edge of stihl gossip and is a secret test pilot (or is it pillock) for them. the 362 is on its way......................
  20. Of course , you will be Stevie, its a greenmech!!!
  21. Dont do right turns then, only clients with left hand turns! simples.....
