    Thanks guys that's great info and contacts. I ll make some calls this week. Because the sian of the job there's loads of ditches to cross so portability is the most important.

    Hi guys I am quoting a job but need to get across some ditches. Need to hire some temporary bridges the job is near Basingstoke do you have any ideas. It's to get a Landy tipper and chipper over.

    Neither look at the greenmech cs100 or the bandit 490. Slightly more money but will do the job 100% better and have a better resale later on.

    That's what I did originally but now wish I hadn t it's so much better now. I meant to say I put the helper springs on also.

    I ve got the britpart heavy duty plus 2inch lift. Plus the gas shockers they do. I know some people slate most of britpart stuff but I have to say its fantastic for load carrying.

    I just put two u bolts on as tie down points and use a ratchet strap between them. Cheap and easy.

    The one that surprised me the most was arb reps raptor chipper. After a demo of that and straight away using my Jensen 530 I was very impressed.

    I am with Aviva I ve got a multi car policy with them with transit tipper 04 plate 90 hp and 110 tipper and my d max is about £840 fully comp any drivers over 25 and third party over 21. think the d max worked out to be £400 of that figure at most as it came down by £200 from my ranger I had previous. I don't know why a d max is is so much cheaper than a ranger but its better for my wallet.

    I always wanted a hi lux but I had the same problem. I bought a d max last year and its been great. But recently came across this this firm who seam to be able to upgrade the hi luxs. Cheshire Contracting 4x4 And Commercials

    This is mine it's been great I had a 130 for a couple of months but could not get used to the barge like handling and steering.

    I ve got the yellow jackets on mine think they work great pretty cost effective. Have thought about the mutli tip as I have them on my predator to keep things simple but decided not to.

    Good choice the Jensens a far better machine.

    I would get demos of the machines your interested in and see if the investment would make you more productive. A chipper is one of the most vital machines and if it saves time each day then it's worth it long term.
