  1. Steve what are you getting or got instead.
  2. i think hes a account manager for yell now.
  3. My d max is a manual I liked the auto a lot more but the fuel consumption was around the 25-30 I did not want that.
  4. I ve got a d max and it returns 36 mpg normal driving with towing Jensen 530 or a plant trailer with a Vermeer 252. On a good run will do between 40 and 42. Very happy with that. I did think about a separate little van for running about in but by the time you have bought it taxed it insured it etc it only works out long term. Maybe by that time you ll probably break it or things change. Least the d max is fairly economical had 4x4 and will carry a load and tow 3.5 t. It ticks most boxes for me.

I am glad to hear good things as I ll be having them fitted to my d max tomorrow. Was going to go for general grabbers again but there nearly twice the price so would like to see how these do.
  6. Tip ex or if done in pencil a rubber. All seriousness any thing like that is best looked at in person as we all know every job is different.
  7. Get a demo of the raptor also. I had one last week and was very impressed.
  8. The body panels are fibreglass which is cheap I admit but the business end of it is very good and solidly constructed. It's wider than most but very compact overall looked a lot smaller than my Jensen 530. The chute is very high but you can get a lower one which is a option.
  9. having used it today and spoken to charles from arbrep a braked trailer is not a issue for them. It's still being updated and tweaked. But I have to say the likes of timberwolf, greenmech, tp, and forst have another serious contender in the mix. Overall I was very very impressed.
  10. Yes but from what I understand its mostly a new machine with input from arb rep services. I totally agree about the lack of brakes. I run a Jensen 530 and will interested to see how it compares
  11. I have one on demo tomorrow will let you know my thoughts.
  12. Obviously copied from tw then.
  13. I ve got a d max its done nearly 30k not all mine but its a fantastic truck. Would have loved a hi lux but get much more for the money and like you said has the 3.5t towing capacity. For me it was a no brainer.
  14. Rob well done that's some lovely stuff. Have you managed to do anything with the walnut yet.
  15. Love it.
  16. Just thinking at the moment. I do mainly domestic work and a smaller truck would be nice.
  17. Hi thinking of replacing my transit for a cabstar and was wondering if anyone uses one with the limited slip diff. Is it any good just wondering if it would make getting to yard better in winter. My transit does it fine with the right tyres and i don't want to make the mistake in replacing if its no good at helping with the traction.
  18. Or you could have both and be greedy like me.
  19. Personally for an extra £700 quid I would save up and buy the bandit and get twice the machine. More metel for your money, great customer service and much more productivity on the job. It's alway tough to stick to budget but normally its worth blowing it. I ll be getting a bandit 2250 ASAP.
  20. Thought about doing that a few years ago but put off by the crap pay load asthe gross weight is oly max out at 2750(i think). dont get me wrong it will still be a usefull tool. The way around that would have been to use a disco commercial as they are rated to 3500kg but you have already chopped yours up.
  21. Might not be suitable for your requirements but I am grinding a walnut stump next week I think. Would the cleaner chips from the grinding be any good for you. Just a thought.
  22. Look at this link for an isuzu d max up rated exactly what you want. Roger Young Reveal The Unique Isuzu D-Max Tipper | Roger Young
  23. I inquired about that truck about a month ago its was sold weeks before. I also had the same concerns regarding power.
  24. Speak to rob d he's the man to ask.
  25. I use the ipad and its great. My girlfriend has the tesco hudl and she is very happy with it she was able to use her tesco vouchers and got it for £20 quid bargin so might be worth looking into.
