1. No worrys mate.
2. None mate its quite common. Just deal with infected trees that show the die back as required with a sensible approach as you would normally.
3. Yes mate the wood gets very brittle they don't last for long and the infection looks pretty bad. I suspect the crowns have quite extensive die back if not now it won't be long.
4. Chris its phytophthora x cambivora
5. Put a 300 tdi turbo on it makes a real difference. My mate re build s landys and its a conversion he does to all of them. Also may be worth putting a disco transfer box in.
6. What's the trick to order some stihl chains etc off the site rob
7. Chris This is my transit similar looking set up to what you ll be building on your iveco I have a 1/3 roof covered that's strong enough to stand on when doing hedges etc its flat but don't get much spray from the chip. It works well and it's a good size volume wise and doesn't draw to much attention when loaded up.
8. There's no contest in productivity this machine is excellent. You can not compare them together. I had a demo of a hb20 over 3 years ago but chose a Vermeer 252 instead as it suited my business better. I am the guy in the photo when dean gave me a demo of the 2250.(thanks again dean). I was thoroughly impressed and will plan to get one in the not to distant future(hopefully). It will be a upgrade from my Vermeer you don't notice the loss of power much due to how it's delivered.

Trailer.

My dad bought a double axle Paxton trailer about 4 years ago. He lived in Spain and needed it to move thing back and forth to the uk. He s been very pleased with and never had any issues. If that's the best you can afford then go for it least you will have some thing new then and as things get better you can upgrade in future.
10. Good call. I ve had a a 252 for 3 years great machine. the sc30tx grinding power is abit less. Good luck with it I am sure you ll love it.
11. Very posh had one on demo a while back nice machine. Did you try a 252 also or not.
12. What grinder are you getting chris
13. Some nice looking options on this website. Nissan Cabstar 4x4 Chassis - Pere Maimi - Off Road Engineering - Kits 4x4

I was in a similar position as you with regards to a grinder 3 years ago. I bought a Vermeer 252 in the end and its been great. I am now considering up grading my machine. It will probably be for sale for sale for 6.5k plus the vat and has only 180 hrs on it with loads of spares. I am looking to get a bigger bandit in the near future. My only advice to you for now is to buy the best and most capable machine you can afford to get. I ve also got a predator 350 for smaller stuff but would not want to be using it all day much better to be pulling levers and getting the job done properly.

Good luck in your search and take your time to find one that suits you.

15. Yep nice and easy.
16. Think Dan is talking about the roller body. That's the older design and you now need the new version.
17. Ah I did not realise the spline could be removed. My motor was knackered so had to replace complete unit. Fitting a extended spline is excellent advise as I am sure timberwolf did not bother due to cost.
18. Dan Had the same thing on my old tw. Call adan hydraulics they will build ones to spec and at a third of the price timberwolf want. You ll need to get a new roller body as well. At the same time it's worth sharpening the blades while they are off. There a bugger to get off I had to heat them up. Give me a call if you need a hand.
19. Get a sugihara bar you won t regret it.
20. Rob Here you go S1 Safety Shoes from engelbert strauss
21. Sorry it's Arborcut - The source of quality used wood chippers and stump grinders
22. Have look here. http://Www.arborcut.co.uk
23. When I was looking at trucks at the beginning of the year I could not get my local ford dealer to get back to me when there demo unit was available. in the end I bought a isuzu d max and I have to say I am very impressed and I think the warrenty is longer. Worth looking at them both.
24. I have had a few dealings with dean now and he really is a gentleman. Not many may salesmen like him about. Well done dean keep up the hard work. I am sure it won t be too long before my next investment.
25. Got a Vermeer 252 and it's a cracking machine. It has it's limits as there are newer more advanced machines like the bandit 2150 that are much better now.i think that's only 29inches wide as a option. Hydrolic machines are more productive depends how many you do. I also have a predator 350 for the smaller narrow access stuff which I prefer over some of the other 13hp machines out there
