  1. I doubt you could make it stiff enough or mounted ridgedly enough to stop it moving if you fell on to it so you would still hit the chain
  2. Justme

    Ox truck

I doubt it will ever see the light of day over here due to emission regs, crash testing or SVA issues.
  3. Surely once set the grind should be the same on both sides?
  4. My idea is to use some big washers & thumb nuts to removable mount it on the top of my saw/processor tool box.
  5. Got mine too.
  6. If they need firemans carrying out they are dead anyway so can wait. I am sure the responce rates for the helimed are less than 30 mins for anywhere in the country if you actually need them.
  7. I want to insure the machine for theft, damage ect. Last time I had NFU insurance (smallholding policy) they wanted to cover everything or nothing.
  8. I seem to be struggling to find a pure plant insurance policy. Most want to sell a complete package or wont cover as I dont do normal Arb work or wont cover for fire risk as its near a fire / firewood. Suggestions?
  9. £5M tends to be considered not enough for most reasonable sized jobs/outfits now. Remember its not the house that would cost but the 3 disabled kids you create inside that need looking after for the rest of their lives.
  10. Dont they just sit on a large lap joint?
  11. Post some pics as well.
  12. Did you get a chance to look it over?
  13. Go diesel instead.
  14. If only you were local.
  15. No quite sure the point you are trying to make as you have agreed that you could have a car & trailer that actually weights under 3500kg but has a MAM over 3500kg & you would get prosecuted.
  16. How much of it is over 14"?
  17. Wet blown in by the installer is best as it fills all the gaps & sort of seals things up. Used in walls. Dry blown is ok for cellings. I bought DIY bales but could not find a DIY hireable blower. So I had to hand shread / fluff it. Still got loads to do to get the depth I wanted. Sheeps wool is lovely to install but costly & I have heard bad things about some makes / batches.
  18. That depends on which offence you are talking about. If a post 97 licence holder has a trailer that is empty & weights 600kg but plated at 2000kg is towing it with a 2000kg MAM car he will be prosecuted for driving not in accordance of his licence. IE he has no licence for the vehicle combination he is driving. As its the plated weights that count. If a pre 97 licence holder has a trailer plated at 2000kg but has a real weight inc load of 1000kg & is towing it with a car that is only allowed to tow 1100kg he would not be prosecuted for being over weight. As its the real weights that would count.
  19. Ours goes like this Inside wood paneling, rockwool, Tyvek, air space, outer cladding. The reason we have no water proof membrane was that the interstitial condensation calcs said it would breath more than it needed to keep moisture levels down in the walls. For the celling we only put barriers over the wet areas & then rock wool. The rest has hand fluffed warmcell (dont do it by hand its a pain) direct over the wood panels. For the floor we added a barrier as the level would equalise over a full year but build up over winter. We are finding that if any thing it breaths too well & the air is too dry.
  20. As you have BE on your licence its the real weights not the plated weights. Its only plated weights for non BE licence holders.
  21. Do you use it with the log lift too?
  22. Might have gone for galv coating & not paint if it was mine. Looks good.
  23. Must be better during the actual tipping to have more wheels / load capacity.
  24. Woodworks, any chance of a better pic of the extra support you have fitted? Even though I have only done a few m3 I can see that this machine really needs one there for the smaller lengths you get from thinnings / full trees & not just straight sticks.
  25. What do you want for the bags & will you spilt them into smaller amounts?
