  1. How much of it is over 14"?
  2. Wet blown in by the installer is best as it fills all the gaps & sort of seals things up. Used in walls. Dry blown is ok for cellings. I bought DIY bales but could not find a DIY hireable blower. So I had to hand shread / fluff it. Still got loads to do to get the depth I wanted. Sheeps wool is lovely to install but costly & I have heard bad things about some makes / batches.
  3. That depends on which offence you are talking about. If a post 97 licence holder has a trailer that is empty & weights 600kg but plated at 2000kg is towing it with a 2000kg MAM car he will be prosecuted for driving not in accordance of his licence. IE he has no licence for the vehicle combination he is driving. As its the plated weights that count. If a pre 97 licence holder has a trailer plated at 2000kg but has a real weight inc load of 1000kg & is towing it with a car that is only allowed to tow 1100kg he would not be prosecuted for being over weight. As its the real weights that would count.
  4. Ours goes like this Inside wood paneling, rockwool, Tyvek, air space, outer cladding. The reason we have no water proof membrane was that the interstitial condensation calcs said it would breath more than it needed to keep moisture levels down in the walls. For the celling we only put barriers over the wet areas & then rock wool. The rest has hand fluffed warmcell (dont do it by hand its a pain) direct over the wood panels. For the floor we added a barrier as the level would equalise over a full year but build up over winter. We are finding that if any thing it breaths too well & the air is too dry.
  5. As you have BE on your licence its the real weights not the plated weights. Its only plated weights for non BE licence holders.
  6. Do you use it with the log lift too?
  7. Might have gone for galv coating & not paint if it was mine. Looks good.
  8. Must be better during the actual tipping to have more wheels / load capacity.
  9. Woodworks, any chance of a better pic of the extra support you have fitted? Even though I have only done a few m3 I can see that this machine really needs one there for the smaller lengths you get from thinnings / full trees & not just straight sticks.
  10. What do you want for the bags & will you spilt them into smaller amounts?
  11. Compared to the number of saws there are not that many processors so not that much extra work to add them to the saw list.
  12. Well done.
  13. Elec impact driver?
  14. WP30 road tow.
  15. So 20-24 (6 days - 5days) bags per day & £200 to £240 per day. Is that plus VAT? If just one person what would you expect?
  16. We had one do that at the last house as we were about 50m from it. We were also 100m higher than it. I sent them a pic of the country if the water level rose by 99m & asked them if they would be worried about my claim if it was to rise another 1m? Well I say country as it was lots of islands.
  17. The other thing I found strange was that they wanted 3 times what is costs to insure my car that is worth double & can inflict damage to other cars & people with possible payouts of 100+ times what the processor would cost in a 100% payout which would be the max payout.
  18. First off I want to see how much it can produce in a day. I might even charge using a different method IE by the 1m3 bag or tonne / lorry load processed. As longs as the wood is to a spec & not all hedgerow thinning's ect. I do know that locally someone charges about £250 for one man & similar processor. So I guess the same or even more than that. I wont be undercutting thats for sure. The thing is I will create my own market & will not be taking any of their customers knowingly.
  19. No point working hard for no profits.
  20. I did an online insurance quote for the processor. They phoned me to confirm the details but to also tell me that it would not be covered for fire. The reason? Because it will be near the fire, then because it was near the fire wood. I tried to explain it was just cutting & splitting wood & was in effect no different to a table say or hydraulic splitter, plus being near tyhe firewood was the same as being near sawn wood or building lumber. However as it had the word fire in the name is was some how far more risky. Way to go JCB for talking yourself out of selling a policy.
  21. Ok so I got a reply. Trailers of any type can not be mobile equipment as they are not self propelled. Not sure what the difference is in reality between exempt & optional?
  22. After checking this the exemption does not apply to trailers just vehicles.

    Which chain

That sounds ideal. I have ordered an 21 LPX. How are your bars lasting?
  24. Justme

    Which chain

    Which bar do you run?
  25. Justme

    Which chain

Cheers for that. I think the old wp30 did have a smaller bar. I am told now the difference is the splitter power and conveyor length.
