Hi,

How much do you want for the processor?

2. Plus you will need business rates. Re measure to reduce the sound. Baffles are better than solid objects which tend to reflect the sound & it can the be re directed back by trees or buildings. With baffles the sound disperses in all directions so has no focused direction or energy.
3. 1, It has no suspension so does not meet the regulations. 2, It has no secondary coupling so does not meet the regulations. 3, The tyres supplied are only rated to 50mph but trailers are allowed to do 60mph & should be fitted with a higher rated tyre so does not meet the regulations. 4, All new trailers sold must have an IVA or test certificate. 5, It has no lights (but thats easy sorted).
4. Its a well known problem. The suspension is much harsher on a lorry. So the loads applied to the trailer are higher. Think of it this way. A seesaw with almost even weights on each end. You can raise & lower it & the forces stay similar. Now put a huge load on one end & a small one on the other. The small load will get accelerated about by small movements of the large load. I think it came to light when caravans were towed behind recovery trucks when the tow car broke down. I have a vague memory that they developed a hitch for them to reduce the shock loads.
5. I seriously considered one. The one feature that let it down for me was that its not legal to tow it on the road.
6. I would think that the main factor is that you are using what is basically a lorry to tow a car type trailer. It puts huge loads on the trailer & ball that it is just not designed for.
7. What about vibra post pushers? http://www.petrolpostdriver.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/slide6.jpg Homepage - Petrol Post Driver
8. What about an attachment for the breaker? A sort of cup near the top to sit the post in.
9. I have PM'ed to ask. Waiting for a reply. I guess they are at the RWS so might still be busy.
10. You have a PM
11. Hi, Thanks for the offer. I already have a PTO log saw & hydraulic splitter set up. I just want to up grade, speed up, drop to one man & generally have to handle each bit less.
12. Still open to offers / suggestions.
13. Even with the braked one you might not need a trailer E licence, it will depend on the vehicle you are using to tow it. If the Vehicle & trailers plated MAM totals less than 3500kg your ok to tow it with a B car type licence.
14. I would disagree. All the info re petrol going "off" is due to what is left in an open tank / carb. Not what is stored in a sealed container.
15. Ah ok. I will PM you.
16. Did you miss this?
17. Which model, what year / condition & where are you? Any pics? I wish the VAT rate would go down lol.
18. How does yours compare to this one New Lumag firewood petrol engine processor. Full professional dealer support. | eBay
19. Is that 3/4 or 3 or 4? I am considering yours. However as its for home use the vat adds another £1k on top. Your about 150 miles from me or I would pop round to see it in action. Do you hold stock of these or is that why the delivery is included as it comes from the supplier & I will need to assemble it? I cant see in the photos or video, does it have suspension on the wheels? Forum discount ? Well if you dont ask you dont get.
20. I'm looking for a cheap firewood processor. It can be PTO or engine powered but not electric. Not to fussy re make or model. Pref no VAT as its for my personal use. Smaller ones preferred due to costs.
21. I was going to offer you £2.3k but was waiting for you to reply to my email questions. I now see you have sold it already on eBay for less.
22. Just under £6k plus VAT.
23. If you have an engine running with no load it is only producing minimal power to keep the speed up. As you add load the governor will add fuel to allow the engine to produce more power at the same speed. Power out is not fixed re rpm. The outputs are quoted maximums. IE 60hp at 3000rpm. You can do 3000rpm at less power out. The danger is as you say if you push it the engine can supply too much power. So thats a good reason to have a slip clutch or shear bolt.
24. The engine wont be using all its power. If a tool needs 40hp at 540rpm that is all the tractor will supply. If the tool starts to bog down the tractor will up the power to try to keep it at 540rpm. If the tool bogs down too much the shear bolt will shear.
