  1. just ask for the volume, work out what it would be m3, and shop around that way.
  2. By your posts on here you make it sound like you started a while ago no? My mistake, missed the above post somehow. why not a bankloan?
  3. Not many chip, having a chipper, or even taking away waste isn't a nessicisaty like the uk. Those that do have 3.5 tonners, 5.5, 6.5, then seems jumps to 18tonners with 13m+ cranes and bigger (6wd +21m crane, even tri axle rigids with 40ft drag!) Some have chippers and just chip on site. Quite a bit of money to be made by storing branches and logs then getting a BIG chipper in for a day and selling the biochip
  4. Mark just wants to feel tall
  5. Company down south has (along with aload of other vehicles) MAN 4x4 18(?)ton, tipper with 18(?)m remote palfinger crane/grab and schliesling 550mx chipper Pretty sweet rig!

    What!

some of the contracts here stipulate a green policy, things like vehicles having the most fuel effecient tyres, serviced regually so engine is performing efficiently, bio fuel, taking a eco driving course, using vehicles under 5years old, saws and fuels carried are in a bunk that can contain any spillage
  7. Nice Liked the branches disappearing into the darkness and sawdust!
  8. Wait, its remote controlled? Fully remote controlled? the crane too?
  9. Wow, im getting a hankering for technic again!
  10. I read about the arborist who's been a wreck ever since. When the plane went down in the field, the aborted attack or whatever, it exploded sending body parts hundreds of feet into the air, for four days it was his job to remove those body parts from the trees. Rip to all
  11. Perfect no need to buy a landrover at all now!
  12. A 3.5t towing ability means nothing if you've a 750kg chipper though. Depends on the original posters work if landy or jap tippers are the best
  13. There a must for short cuts on footpaths during rush hour, parking anywhere etc
  14. Why not look at the safetrak 1623 then, only a few cm wider than the 150, and a far far better machine. safetrak system is awesome too
  15. Talking of finance offsetting tax, i thought if you brought something outright, vehicle, machine etc, you could split the cost of the item over its projected working life, e.g 4 years before replacement, offsetting the tax eitherway? making the finance good for tax argument not really valid? Be intrested to know if i got this is right or wrong!
  16. thats the one! another of churchills i liked was Bessie Bradcock "sir, you are drunk" Churchill "madam, you are ugly, in the morning, i will be sober" True Lad!
  17. Cool! Id be worried about pinching the bar doing a gob cut! Leaving a monolith of the split?
  18. Think its TomD's, "never underestimate the power of stupidity" or similar
  19. You're budget is too low
  20. I appreciate freebies or sweetners more than a discount or better price if its with a preferred supplier rather than cheapest. Safety specs, gloves, pack of files, ear plugs are all usefull freebies
  21. Hmmm, pink or brown?
  22. Very smart James
  23. All plant needs a car style v5 document, and mot or yearly inspection with own reg number. At a yearly inspection the Sn/vin numbers can be checked
