    Stunt fell

    Cool
  2. Kings of Leon, Closer. i think I bet you turned up at that job, saw the length of the garden, height of the trees and grinned
  3. If were talking about landcruisers, I put an offer in on this a few months ago. Still looking for one.
  4. You might want to rethink on that, it might be hard to find a new job with no reputation in the slow season, some companies shut down entirely in winter, some diversify into snow clearance. Minus 25, deep snow, limited day light and trees ain't fun after a while
  5. Nice fell mr Huck! Was the whole site similar sized fells? Straight fell, chip what you can, lift the cord out with machinery, chip the rest, simples
  6. You diddnt see a 076 pinched in the wood and Martin with a hole in his wellies and arm bands swearing did you?
  7. Plus you can have the load overhanging by 2m with markers
  8. FRJones have a show this weekend with many many exhibitors, probabally a good idea for you to go!
  9. Mohammed
  10. Bar in water is fine mate, is it at the place i felled the leaning one?
  11. Cost of postage has been between 7 (bigger dog teeth) and 50 quid (saws, blower, ropes) Smaller non pro saws (sub husq 550 for example) are similar money here, pro saws are expensive
  12. Probably because he's one of those crap dealers who won't budge from rrp, take 2weeks to fit aload of new parts but still not fix a saw, and carry no stock....the dealers this policy actually helps get custom they don't deserve! This policy helps the dealers with the local domestic market, and probabaly helps the domestic user. the professional users however are left peed off and looking at husqvarna for future purchases
  13. Is he buying the kit in Sweden? Or mail order from uk? (Which may be hard with husqvarnas sales policy) In Uppsala is a forestry/garden shop called Såma on bolandsgatan. I don't know the price of cord, but seasoned, cut and split birch between 400 and 600 sek delivered cube A quality axe might be an idea to save money
  14. Isn't it 50 for upto 7.5 maximum laden weight, and 40 for exceeding 7.5ton max laden weight?
  15. Stick a parasol on the grinder and quit wingeing!
  16. And my old work brought stevies Nice finishing touches and towed very well when laden and fast
  17. Nice Tim, enjoyed the smoothness of the rigging. One question though, why carefully rig down the wood, then spear cut the last top into the ground?
  18. Would the cost of a decent unimog not still be more than driver training, o licence, and a grab lorry? A grab lorry would then give you the option of transtorting timber too?
  19. No, go for pfanner or miendl for similar money
  20. My name throughout the video is because of past videos being uploaded by another user and being used on their website to promote their company without my permission, lodged a complaint with YouTube copyright and the videos were removed:thumbup: Will be back staying in Suffolk end of August, the odd day out/night in Cambridge too id expect
  21. You could be a sub contract groundsman easily, ring HMRC to register self employed, ring insurance company's and ask their advise. ring company's in your area to get work. Some may expect to meet on site, some at the yard. If you're expected on site, you're own presentable vehicle, if at the yard you could public transport/walk it Basic PPE, waterproofs, groundsaw of around 50cc, spare chains, bar, files, maybe fuel Desirable extras would possibly be heavy trailer license
  22. Yep, DED, id guess i fell 30 DED trees a year. although theres still many big and old ones still thriving. You may remember a year or 2 ago, i assisted 4 or 5 being felled with a big hiab with grab and saw, these trees are in the same row (but under different ownership) theres another of simmilar size, 200m away enclosed in old wooden buildings with the top showing signs of DED. I dont think DED here is quite as aggressive as in the UK, more slow and steady, one tree can have it, a tree 20m away can be totally unaffected
  23. If your coporate policy is that anal and unchangeable about type c's, perhaps non chainsaw work should be undertaken if theres a risk of heat stroke ect. dissolve some 'Resorb' pills into lunchtime drinks bottles to restock your body with salts and minerals, plain waters not enough. also great hangover cure!
  24. something!
