  1. Well if they spend a huge amounts of development money years of testing and refinement and redesigning on the new 901 it will just go to show..... Should have got one of the last 660's if all there recent improvement efforts are anything to go by
  2. So for what david put up a little over 2500, ahh well back on with the old ifor canopy and in with the plywood shelves for me as the wife would loose it big time if I spent that on ' that landrover' Still I like it, tidy job! .
  3. Thats nice david, dare I enquiry as to how much as it would look sweet on my 130 (prob makeing it worth twice as much) as now got the rb44 might be taking chipbox off her.
  4. Can we have some picks please mathew of this trailer set up, sounds interesting!
  5. Old chains, low as possible as less likely to be anything right down at ground level and start cutting from opposite side to which you think most of the mettle will be, failing that spout some b s about leaving it as natural habitat.
  6. Some1 has too much time on there hands, but again wow!
  7. I for one can see the point the lpa are making IF the aplications comes from the landowner who may not have any understanding of what they are proposing to do or the best way of doing it but hold the attitude, my tree ill do what I want! When the aplications is made by a professional arbor company who the council will have had dealings with previously I believe there should be a degree of trust especially when such clear details are give as in the original post and possibly backed up with some labelled photos.
  8. Try some stainless steel boating one's and some have smooth clips so dont snag on stuff, will try and get link to place I got some and D shackles.
  9. Na they left as they wer in the only house still council owned on the street and not keeping to the tenancy agreement and everyone ells started complaning about the gazillion cats they had and apparent ly nearly everyone had had some form of run in with him, some people as previously said just need to get a life and let outhers get on with there's!
  10. Get just over 3m of chip in mine. Lined it with stock board as it lasts well, was fine chipping into it with the tw as not overly powerful at blowing chip but I surspect if I did it with the quadchip I might end up with chip all over the place.
  11. A few years ago a neighbour complained to the council about my old fordson on my front lawn for a few weeks while I fixt something on it, council man came, looks, buggered off and called me a few days later as got number off the side of my landy to chat about classic tractors and how he wished his wife would let him have 1, managed to fined out who had complained so bided my time and when it snowed heavy and I had a mog with plough on at home I cleared the whole street onto there drive accidentally Everyone ells on the street thought I was a hero for clearing our private rd and nothing was ever said. Doing little favours for the good and elderly on your street go's a long way towards making it harder for outhers to mone about you.
  12. Plenty on ebay but prob cheeper to get a clean 110 hi cap and get it converted to you're speck and prob less likely to have a vehicle thats spent half its life overloaded. Not that any1 on here would dream of doing that to our vehicle
  13. Replaced mine with a 3 position waterproof outdoor light switch wich cost about 4quid from city electrical factor after doing exactaly the same thing.
  14. Im in the same positions off needing a 2nd reliable topper and was hoping the 540 would be out by now but having had the battery saw on demo for a week or so im planning on ebaying the old 200t and putting the money towards one and keeping my good 200t in good nick for dismantling or bigger cuts. How I wish husqvarna could sell you a saw that met all regulations but then offered a after market "super chip" to turn it into the saw we all want and bypass all this eu B S!
  15. Fransgard in my view and not worth that sort off money especially as it looks like you will need new cable unless you only plan on doing short pulls.
  16. They had guards on and still got me, waste off time unless hard plastic type
  17. Dont put spikes in even with guards on as I have a nice scar on my arm from catching a bag passed down from the landy roofrack and the gaff came through and made a nice whole in the bag and me!
  18. Just check the clips are done up before you start climbing just like you would any outher part off you're system like carabiners, if they still open clean well incase sap or dust is fouling the clips and if this still not helping some damage must have happened so new harness time, cheeper than getting hurt from malfunctioning gear!
  19. This looks a nice cheeper way off getting a 2-1 advantage for tightening up. Big shot now on my need list after thursdays big oaks and lots off foot stomping and time wasting trying to get a line up, omt what advantage is the master or is it just something you had spare?
  20. The gelet and such like are good as mosty waterproof but got same thing from mountain warehouse for about half the price, good quality too. They have lots off good on line deals at the moment.
  21. Its when you run out off lowering rope you know you have a talln! I hate tall pops as they always feel like they sway more than any outher tree.
  22. Yes it was a 260, it was fine on everything apart from willow stringy stuff which raped around the top roler, used to crane feed a rear mount off the same type and both wer excellent just keep the blades good so they can help pull the material in as blunt blade make stuff build up behind the rolers. Also a lot lighter thank most outhers so less risk off overloading the front axle
  23. If the quadchip is owt to go by get a quadtrack but was towing my quadchip around a site with a quad just fine just walk the track 1st to check for stumps etc.
  24. That bandit looks like it sticks out way to far for normal driving, I would not want to try and get around a town with that rig, the ducker I used was good but quite high to feed bigger stuff into. The best and prob the cheepest front mount I have used was a 10" farmi on a hydrolick din plate so it could be lowered down a bit but it was a 3 blade version not a normal 2 blade.
  25. Ill put in a good word for matty, he has done quite a bit with me over the last few month and is exactaly as he describes himself.
