  1. Tip to maximum, then lower all the way, keeping your finger on the button for a few extra seconds once its down.
  2. Mine have not suffered from that, and I only keep ratchet straps , waterproofs and the like in them. they are lighter, so more payload:001_smile:
  3. 2 Aluminium underbody storage boxes transit iveco daily | eBay this is the guy I used. Fantastic service
  4. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Aluminium-underbody-storage-boxes-transit-iveco-daily-/220878408798?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item336d610c5e QUOTE=Andymacp;1328389]Do you have a link to the eBay seller ? Local fabricated says 3mths wait!!
  5. It was 5 years ago, but let me see what I can find.....
  6. I got mine through an ebay seller who built custom ones for me. Superb. I now have the plastic ones, which you can buy from trailertek
  7. I cut a cricket field as part of a council contract, and my guy who does the stimming was continually being bespattered by dog muck lurking in the long grass round the marker posts. I told the parish council I would no longer be strimming there as a result. They banned dogs from the field, and at the next meeting, a handful of dog owners, including the guy with 5 dogs who never picks up came in mob handed with mates from the pub, getting hot under the collar. they told the councik to find a different mowing contractor. To which I replied" if we do find someone to strim through dog muck, its ok to let your dogs crap all over the place and not clear up"? no reply was forthcoming...
  8. its not designed to be three point linkage mounted, as the stresses an strains upon the machine need to be taken up with a sub chassis on the tractor, or something will bend/break
  9. The tracked chipper will pull it over.
  10. Eerrr. Cant seem to see a roll bar. They are a must on a micro
  11. They are getting round to checking up on everyone self employed. Its not if, but when! Worst they found so far was 1600 in my private account. I sold a pool table/dining table combo, and they are saying its undeclared income. No paperwork, but used the money to buy another dining room table and chairs. They sting you whatever
  12. Tell me about it. They are investigating me, been going on for two years now. They are digging into all private accounts, isa's, asking for all sorts of stuff. Glad I had insurance. £4500 accountants bill so far
  13. I tried once to close a footpath to cut a hedge as previously had trouble with members of the public getting in the way.the hedge was on a private track and as such we used to stand on the back of the truck to get to the top and some of the high sides. permission was not given as we were told to stand on the ground and use long reach pruners to cut it. we dont bother to cut it anymore as a result as I was sick of having to keep moving out the way for the odd dog walker who refused to simply walk a different way. my advice, close it and crack on. By the time anything is said or done, you are long finished. in this day and age when people will claim compo for any reason, I think we are perfectly within our rights to cone off a work zone without all the nonsense that goes with it!!
  14. Have you thought about a tiny magnetic tracker device? I bet you can hide that on a grinder or chipper. Will enable yputo pinpoint its location within 10m. I have them on my crushers.
  15. This is worrying as there is obviously some organised scum about. We had a bloke in our close last night taking pictures of cars. He was in an unmarked transit. Police given photos of him and his van, they reckon they were coming back to steal catalytic convertors. will keep an eye out for the grinder paul. Lets have a serial number and any distinguishing marks incase we see it for sale.
  16. I concur, but agreed avant wont lift as high
  17. I have a mobile card machine. 25 a month plus vat, credit cards are 2.5% debits free. well worth it for the crusher hire side of things. Not worth it for anything else
  18. There is another scam with a concrete crusher which keeps appearing across the country. As soon as I ask for the serial number, inget nothing, or ebay will tell me an account has been hacked. annoying thing is, I kniw the crusher is a stolen one, but ebay will not let you report it unless you are an enforcement officer!! always use paypal, that way ebay will cover you
  19. Not to worry. Its a hire trailer
  20. Only 1.2 tonne lift. Rather have an avant 750. Lifts 1.5
  21. If it was a timberwolf shredder it woild have been ok!!
  22. Just to add to the mix, if anyone does hire out kit, if it gets stolen, the police wont help. When I suffered a theft of one of my crushers(which I documented on the stolen thread) they told me its just an extended hire and I need to pursue them for the money. As an aside, I always take pictures of the machine upon delivery, that way any damage can be spotted and compared. Jcb insurance do insurance for anyone hiring out kit .
  23. Sounds like the shaft inside the coupling has been bent. This can happen when reversing too sharply, or jacknifing. Therefore once you brake, the shaft jams jnside and wont release the brakes. what coupling is it? Knott , avonride ? It can be expensive to repair
