  1. Correct! I will order a new one and kep the old. Thanks
  2. My hour clock on the entec has stopped. Its got power going into it when the ignition is on. any ideas? If I buy a new one, how do i prove the hours on the machine?
  3. I phoned timberwolf about the mno stress, and they said they cannot be repaired and to buy a new one. Someone on this forum told me about derek the chipper doctor. I sent him the unit, and he replaced the faulty sensor, all in including vat and postage, £80.! Hes a very useful chap. Did the switch for the roller speed work on your entec, it doesnt seem to do anything on mine!
  4. I know someone in aldbury selling his entec soon. Dont think it will be as cheap as mine was!
  5. Yes. Chipper cost me a grand, and have spent 1800 on parts etc. Most of the replacement bokts I got from toolstation, at a fraction of the cost of timberwolf. Belts and bearings I got locally, again at a fraction of the cost. I have gone a bit over the top, it didnt really need a new exaust, but I wanted it to look smart!
  6. Thanks. I just hope it chips ok, and that I havent made a mess up of fitting the bearings!
  7. Finally, after many hours, I have completed the refurb of the entec as you can see it was pretty neglected. I took loads of advice from this forum, thanks to dean lofthouse for his invaluable thread on replacing the bearings. Also thanks to whoever suggested derek the chipper doctor. He got the no stress device up and running. to sum up whats been done: new flywheel bearings and tensioner bearings new fan blades new battery new belts fitted new mudguards no stress repaired sharpened blades New exhaust new engine covers shot blasted and powdercoated the hopper, spout etc and stop bar new lighting board repaired wiring so in feed rollers work new jockey wheel repaired sheared bolts on ignition panel as well as repairing ignition light service engine grease up. I have not yet chucked anything through it, just hope I have got it set up right! The only thing I couldnt seem to get working was the little switch on the side of the funnel thats supposed to alter the feed roller speed. Might have to play about a bit more
  8. I had a similar issue. Because I had removed the rear seats alltogether, it reduced it from A 6 seater to a three seater. the nfu didnt care, so I insured with them, and they were cheaper
  9. Normally its a morticed post, the arriss rails have a tennon on them that meet at the centre of the post, inside the hole if that makes sense?
  10. Will avant atachments fit? If so, I may look into ome of these instead
  11. Whats the weight of the machine, and what engine is in it?
  12. A crowd up bourne end lane, next to the paintball place. Very friendly and helpful
  13. Just done a load of parts on the entec. 300 plus vat, shotblasted and powder coated
  14. 14. You disturb a nest of asian hornets, and need a quick getaway!
  15. Not yet, but I do like the new one with the ejector chute, clutch and eco eye!
  16. Thanks me too. I have been tickling away when i have time. Waiting for the no stress to come back from the chipper doctor, then I will have all the bits. It will look like a timberwolf!
  17. I agree. Sadly the old ones are long gone
  18. having now fitted the new bearings, and got all the parts back from the powdercoaters, I got as far as fitting the drivebelts, but have hit a snag. I brought four new ones, but the one that comes off the pulley to the hydraulic pump is very slack, even if I adjust it its going to be too slack. Are all those belts the same size, or should the hydraulic pump one be smaller? I took all the old ones in to the bearing and belt supplier, so I assumed he matched them
  19. Never used you guys, but a mate brought a mower from you and he couldnt fault your service and after sales care!
  20. It was fitted by the original owner back in 2000. You have to pay an annual subscription to trakker uk for it, and it has to be activated by them, so the police can pick up the signal. There are much better systems on the market now, which require no subscription and can be tracked by the owner. the unit I removed was pretty corroded and the slave battery had leaked so I doubt it would have worked anyway
  21. Having investigated further, it appears they were not tapped into the tailboard lights, but taped to it, the plastic box is in fact a trakker from a way back owner. All disconnected now, new tailboard ordered
