  1. Those armco barriers are actually under tension. I mate was pollarding some limes next to a dual carriageway once, and decided to save time to simply top the tree with all the branches still on. When it hit the barrierr, it bent it, all the bolts snapped, and it was left loose. inspector turns up, cost them 5 grand to have it repaired!!
  2. Except there is no one enforcing this "LAW"!
  3. Thanks. Thats what I will do. I knew someone would have the answer!!
  4. QUOTE=mattplace;1360790]I assume you've wired the yellow and white wheres into the solenoid not directly to the motor? Where is the solonoid? Is it inside the pendant? This is the one I have Electric hoist crane 12v 360deg swing 800Kg max lift truck lorry / trailer mount | eBay
  5. Indeed. They have been superb for service
  6. I brought a winch crane online, and wired it up to the battery of the truck having bolted it down where I wanted it, then used the anderson plug provided to connect the winch motor to the pendant. It works fine, and has done without fail. I wanted to make it wireless so I brought a kit on ebay, that comes with the wireless transmitter and remote. The transmitter has 5 wires. Red for positive, black for negative, blue is the aerial, yellow and white for the winch. I connected the red and black to battery, and white and yellow to the winch motor. Press tnhe remote, it clicks but nothing happens. have put a tester on it, and there is 12v right up at the winch motor, it just wont turn! if I wire it back to how it was, it works fine!!! Any ideas?
  7. You sure its failed totally? I use a company dalled woodleigh power equipment, they have been out to one of my crushers and diagnosed a problem or two. They are kubota engine dealers, so can source a new engine, or they sometimes have reconditioned ones available. where are you exactly?
  8. only those of us who are identifiable through this forum need worry
  9. Surely if its a cabstar mounted mewp, and its road legal, and not parked on yellow lines, there is no issue? ignore. What are they going to do? suggest he go fill in some potholes. Far more valuable use of his time
  10. Renault and nissan are the same company, and merc are working with nissan on developing their own
  11. Wait till jan/feb and bet the all new navara. Its in a class of its own apparantly
  12. What will that chestnut be used for?
  13. I am a parish councillor, and we had a similar request. A holly tree was growing close to this guys boundary, and he was worried about it damaging his fence. The tree is not in a conservation area, but is on a piece of amenity green and woodland. we as a council decided the tree should remain, as felling it had a detrimental affect on the area, and it would set a dangerous precedent for others. You live by a wooded area, enjoy it and put up with it was our stance. I am somewhat surprised by your local council, and I can only think this guy is mates with them all. kick up a stink at the next meeting, and make as much of a nuisance as you can with the local TO
  14. Blimey, thats got a good lift on it!!! I would sell the crane seperate to the trailer, as its mounted on. A plant trailer, and they are desirable on their own!!
  15. Chainsaw cert I was talking about!!
  16. It turns out, you dont need it anywhere!! Its unenforecable
  17. Btw, the new cabstars, from 11 plate onwards have limited slip diff. Yet to get mine stuck!!
  18. A standard nissan flatbed has a wooden floor, which is not suitable for a tipper. I would speak to tipmaster, as they can point you in the right direction
  19. I have dug out bigger with my k008, with a ripper, but it does take longer!!!
  20. I had a similar issue on a hire machine. I simply slowed the feed rollers slightly to reduce the the amount of chip, and it seemed to do the trick. its also worth noting that if the inside of the spout is sticky from sap, this can cause stuff to stick to it and you get a build up, especially conifer!!
  21. Anything to stop us earning a living with these people. next step, find out who reported you. in the meantime, can ypu find another friendly farmer and move elsewhere. Many farms have buildings to rent on the qt quite cheaply
  22. Whats the council saying? Someone did the same to me. Reported me for keeping my tractor on a farm! The owner did not want the hassle so kicked me out. I went from paying nothing to £500 a month!
  23. Look at monkeytower.co.uk. mobile scaffolding, adjustable height and road towable, plus its narrow access!!
  24. Tip to maximum, then lower all the way, keeping your finger on the button for a few extra seconds once its down.
