  1. Whats the lifting capacity of that loader ian. I still favour the avant though:)
  2. Lovely dog there. Is it yours? How old? I had a border collie companion at work. Miss him, but I have a family now so just dont get the time needed.
  3. Blade is supposed to be behind when digging and down. It gives more digging force. Track motors are robust enough these days so, no problem there
  4. The hinowa is a good machine, butthe bucket on it does not tip forward enough so you end up shaking tne machine to disharge it or get off and use a shovel!!
  5. Watch out for those cormidi, as everhone I know who have had one have all regretted it. Plagued by faults and breakdowns. The tcp one is the best, there is some good deals on new and they have refurbed ones too I believe
  6. I was told it was a legal requirement by the council and the guy who I did the course with. If it isnt, and its unenforceable, plus the insurance company doesnt give a monkees if we have one or not, whats the bloody point of us getting one??
  7. The current certificate for using a Chainsaw is a waste of time and money. I recently proved that it is impossible, and I mean impossible, to actually report someome for using a saw proffesionally without a licence. I was categorically told that the licence is advisory, not mandatory and therefore there was nothing that could be done. I also had to clear a fallen ash tree that had come from school grounds into the council park. I did the sensible thing and asked permissiom from the council first for access. They asked to see my licence which I sent them. They then said my licence was invalid as the numbers had changed since I did it. Since the licence has no expiry date, and I pointed this out, it was still valid. They still refused. So I ignored them and did the work anyway. I even checked with the licence issuers, who confirmed the council were wrong to refuse, and also confirmed they would not be able to do anything if I were to be caught. its a nonsense
  8. Too little too late. The other manufacturers have already done it, now timberwolf are playing catchup!
  9. I did not realise the tr6 went through 800mm. My eliet(in my avatar) does this too, without modification. Whatdo you have to do to the forst to get it that narrow and how time consuming is it? Can I also be cheeky and ask how much it is??
  10. They are cracking little chippers from what I have heard. Has that got the honda or mitsubishi?
  11. The avant will only put enough force on the post that the machine will lift, and i have had the odd occasion where the avant will not pull out a concreted post. If you utilise a post puller with a ram, it should treble the force. The soil screener is good, but needs to be cheaper as its twice the price of the supascreen. I take it you hire the screeners when I need them?
  12. Traffic cops, police interceptors is always good. Dragons den and top gear on sunday night. If its series on lovefilm your after, leverage, friday night dinner, ncis are all good in this house. Comedies, frasier, lead balloon, early doors. Old stuff but good stuff!
  13. I think this has been answered on paving expert!!
  14. Have you posted on facebook? If so I can share it through my crusher page, as when I had a machine nicked before, 4000 people shared it and I got it back as a result!!
  15. Even better, leave with a big pile of valuable timber. Not in this case though!
  16. Thats just a facebook page, or am I missing something
  17. Shes 7 months pregnant, so that one chimney that does not need sweeping!!!
  18. The mastic is more belt and braces, as the lead well covers it. Scaffolding was the only way I could do it safely. It was £800! they supplied me a collar to go round the chimney with a big plate on that sits on the roof. Its partly under the lead flashing. I then drilled up through the trim piece to make holes, with washers and mastic and then wing nuts. The whole plate is stuck with mastic. The tiny gap where the chimney emerges is then sealed with sealant.
  19. The pipe that comes out is 125mm, and the window is 410mm away, so should be covered??!!
