  1. kahuna are reasonable watches in both build quality and price. I think they do resin straps as well as metal and fabric. mine has lasted 5 years so far, due for a new strap methinks.
  2. how about an isuzu engine a la perentie?
  3. that 6x6/4 looks the mutts for tree work but would probably be too big for any woodland work. Is that a drot in the second tractor picture?
  4. i'll be behind you in the queue jonny:thumbup1:

    gloves

For climbing in the wet you can't go wrong with the grey and black gloves that nod sells for about a fiver but in the dry they get destroyed quite quickly but the timberland pro extra-grip are great and you can get them at screwfix for £10.79 a pair (inc VAT). Although i have heard that the Gill fingerless gloves are also apparently indestructible.
  6. the only thing about landy's is you have got to be prepared to spend a lot of money in the first place to get a decent one or spend a little and have to spend a lot to get it up to spec (guess which i did :blushing: and that was a 90 station wagon)
  7. 2.5 TD:001_rolleyes:
  8. i didn't think so but i thought it might not be unheard of.
  9. i'm surprised they went after your gear when there is a nice private school full of stuff kicking around near there including the stuff from the ccf.
  10. My d reg does!!!!
  11. i'm no expert on powerlines (far too dangerous and insane to work near/on) but could the fire in the tree have burnt through the wire thus breaking the circuit???
  12. as was said that's not dedication that's addiction. Chris i've got hold of a bulkhead and loom for 50 notes so won't be needing to get in touch mate. sorry:thumbup1:
  13. nick that last thing sounds suspiciously like smokecloak. A friend of the family owns a computer shop and they had a break-in, the doors were padlocked shut with a security gate over them which was padlocked. The scrotes just used liquid nitrogen to shatter the locks and got away with a fair bit. he had smokecloak installed and showed me how it works, you cannot see a thing not even your hand in front of your face. oh and it smells like those quasar places.
  14. too small peter:001_tt2:
  15. the best example of this liam are the students at either oxford or cambridge who jump off a bridge into about 4 foot of water. A couple of years ago there were a lot of injuries as the water level was lower than usual so there were a lot of broken legs. What astounded me was these are the brightest of the bright in this country yet they don't have the common sense not to jump after about six people have been carted off in an ambulance with broken legs etc. I once read somewhere "Common sense is directly inversely proportional to intelligence", i think that sums it up nicely.
  16. why not get a skip in? I used to do this before i could drive and was operating out of the back of my mums nissan micra. I also used to ask a local farmer to drop off a trailer if he had one going spare and then he'd come and pick it up. I also hire a chipper and get it delivered and collected.
  17. come the revolution brother woodpicker:001_tongue:
  18. Although you've probably saved the forensic service a few bob, you'll be right at the bottom of the list for being 'white british'. (sorry still slightly bitter:sneaky2:)
  19. there's a big tree down across wetherby road at oakwood near me. This is a main bus route, saw the bus driver on his mobile to head office, i think, to report it as there was no way he was getting through.
  20. i'm not sure it is articulated Ed, it has a rotating cab i think.
  21. the novotny harvester looks a nice little set up.
  22. and charge you to see how much is in your account every month:sneaky2:
  23. might be alright for a smallholder then tom?
  24. they look a bit like potato crates, have a word with a local farmer, he might take the whole lot off your hands for his tatty harvest.
