  1. i just paid 4k for a 54 plate transit panel van with 66,000 on the clock. The place i got it from had a 54 plate double cab transit tipper for 9k. If you really want a landy you're looking at double your budget but that is for a really good used vehicle.
  2. saw something in hort weekly from the Arb Association about how all these youngsters are coming into arb and going to college and being trained is good for the industry blah blah blah; but what happens to the majority of these lads when they leave college? straight back on the dole because there's no jobs for them. Talk about catch 22.

also 'butch and sundance' as in "that tree looks like butch and sundance did it" means anything that looks of a obviously sub-standard nature carried out by cowboys with their b&q special.

  13. if you get one mozza, get some mud rails and a bulkhead replacement rail. Taking out the bulkhead gives you about 4 inches extra travel on the ordinary rails but put in some mud rails and i think you get an extra six inches travel. i know a lad who is 6'8", drives a defender like mine but has mud rails fitted and he says its just like driving a disco:thumbup1:

  19. try barry at orange plant, on here as bazbro, he'll know of any major dramas with them. I've seen one demo'd and small pieces of concrete were going in and didn't seem to phase it.
  20. another thing to bear in mind is post-97 licence holders can only drive up to 3.5 tonnes anything over and it's another test.
