  3. hi jon, i have my own garden maintenance firm called J M Wroe Gardening Services, i'm based at whinmoor and do a bit around the wetherby side of leeds. i think we both advertise in the Thorner parish magazine if i remember rightly.

  4. we had one at houghall in the late 90's still in good working order and like ed says taking the tension off was a bit like a game of buckaroo; you were never quite sure when the thing was going to release. We also had a little david stump grinder, now that thing scared the hell out of most of us including the staff. oh happy days:001_rolleyes:
  5. or live in herefordshire:001_tongue:
  6. have a look in things like hort weekly and farmers weekly.
  7. it was people who were wearing things like flip flops and plimsolls and were caught in the surge of people wanting to see the prodigy (the catering vans at the side of the arena were pushed back @ 3 foot) although i may have accidentally trampled a few toes of the odd crusty:001_tongue:
  8. i've worn mine for nearly two years now, admittedly not every day but most weeks i have had them on every day and i've found them better than the old brown stihl boots which i used to buy. However they are now looking a bit jaded round the edges and at the heel so they will probably get relegated to use at land rover trials and i'll buy myself a new pair of boots probably haix:thumbup1:
  9. just to really throw the cat among the pigeons, i find the husky leather chainsaw boots are quite comfortable. they are waterproof straight out of the box and provide plenty of support and have a decent inner sole provided. they are that comfortable i wore mine for two days non-stop at the leeds festival and i was glad on the friday night i had as there was a crush when the prodigy performed. the medical bods were treating people for twisted ankles and crushed toes but not me:thumbup1:
  10. happy birthday for yesterday mate. hope the hangover isn't too bad today.
  11. do you find it's udderly brilliant:001_tongue:

  20. and you take advice from a man who has a pony tail down to the ground?? :001_smile:Some of his ideas are fairly sound but leylandii spawn of satan? If it wasn't leylandii we'd all be out of work.
