  1. it wasn't the grey ones that got destroyed sean, they're still going strong. if i remember you tried the grey ones at that get together
  2. are they for climbing? if so the gill gloves are apparently the mutts nuts as they were designed for sailing or you could buy a pair of the black and grey gloves that nod sells and cut the fingers to length.
  3. not worked for as such but seen tim healy (auf wiedersehn pet) absolutely trollied in my local. On the work front although not arb, i was on the set of kay mellors latest drama with alun armstrong, sue johnston, john duttine, frances barber and andrew lee potts. they were going to use my landy for anchoring a balloon but it was too windy so it wasn't used so spent 10 hours standing around doing nothing:thumbdown: but got paid 100 notes:thumbup: and got to talk to some big names.
  4. i think dean deserves a mention for getting the spirit of the competition award which was a book on how to fell trees properly:lol:. I was talking to the bloke who is in charge of events at roundhay park today whilst i was moonlighting with my land rover on a film set and he was saying that they are hoping to have the uk finals there next year and hopefully the european finals the year after.
  5. If you're looking at the crawler route, how about the new holland crawlers? I know that QTS use these on sensitive sites for mulching but i'm not sure whether they have the grunt to be used as a skidder/forwarder. I do know that you could stick one on a trailer behind a 7.5 tonner or even on RO/RO flatbed.
  6. its looking good and if the climbing comp gets boring there's all sorts of things going on and there's the rare breeds survival trust centre there; i think we have some immigrants from your neck of the woods stevie in the shape of some cows wearing the long ginger wigs:001_tt2:
  7. thats what i've told him johnny,we know it makes sense:001_tt2:
  8. looks like just me and thee bob and maybe tree monkey and his kids. It all kicks off at 10.30am until 15.00. see y'all there.

  12. well done mate.
  13. isn't there a firm that does conversions where the floor drops down and it is basically a panel van? I think they're called razorbacks or something.
  14. lets just hope skyhuck doesn't read this as we'll never hear the end of how he has been right all along
  15. to quote one of the guys on it "You can't fix stupid"
  16. when i worked in essex we had two mink in the grounds near the pheasant rearing pens which were full of poults:thumbdown: well we did until the estate gamekeepers came along with the twelvebore:thumbup: i didn't know that mink vaporised at fifty paces:lol:
  17. don't you mean sky(rocket) david? i thought a whistle was a suit.
  18. i like the links on their site to fema and the red cross:lol::lol:
  19. they just know pure class when it presents itself stevie although i think the crate of bulmers you took helped didn't it?
  20. you could try Kam diffs or a detroit locker which works in a similar way to the arb locker i think.
  21. apparently THE show to go to is the F R Jones show in kent. Anybody who is a body in arb goes:001_tt2:
  22. or go down to your local 4x4 place and get a proper winching sail which will absorb some of the recoil and make the cable highly visible to any bystanders.
  23. i was going to say the same bob. Are you going to do any in leeds/Cas kev?
  24. if you lads want to do the same as sean i can fit two lanky lumps in the back of the landy:001_tt2:
  25. sean if you get the train from leeds station to crossgates i can pick you up on my way over or if you want to drive over to my house and jump in with me thats fine. i'll send you a pm with my mobile etc if you want.
