  1. i think the answer to that is in the first picture stevie. look over the door of the building.
  2. i've seen one of these at brandon hire, they seem very capable; basically just lumps of carbide welded onto a steel disc:scared1:
  3. is cs 33 a revamp or totally new unit bob?
  4. you could just use your straightening irons to cauterise the wound frank:001_tt2:
  5. anybody else notice the use of a claw hammer to hit the wedge. Good god man give it some welly with a sledgie!
  6. did anybody look at the Arb-aid trauma kits at the AA this year. looked pretty useful for keeping in the wagon.
  7. sounds like the cannonball run to me. Be brilliant if tommer9 comes:001_tt2:
  8. i had a job that i walked off without being paid for the time i spent there as the owner had said she would clear up all the dog eggs off the lawn, which granted she did but straight into the flowerbeds where i was supposed to be working. I didn't know what to say or do so i rang the Oracle (Mr Lofthouse) for his sage advice which was dog egg tax or walk, i took the latter option after cleaning my boots and tools under her patio tap.
  9. try Jo Ryan at Treesource, very good selection of books at a reasonable price. She also knows what she's talking about as she is arb trained.
  10. don't have a stove or open fire but my local has been burning laburnum lately in his fires, lasts for ages and gives off a load of heat.
  11. that explains a lot about you then darren:001_tongue:

saw one of their landy conversions at the apf a couple of years back, exhaust runs up through one side of the storage box and the handwash unit was in there, great place to stick wet waterproofs to dry out or a set of dry clothes to warm up for after a long barnsley winter's day:001_smile:
  16. thirteen stone and nine pounds according to the Docs scales:blushing: no wonder my climbing isn't brilliant
  17. they're too real looking to be monkeyd's:001_tongue: sorry Mr Humphrey it did have to be said tho:thumbup:
  18. hi jon, i have my own garden maintenance firm called J M Wroe Gardening Services, i'm based at whinmoor and do a bit around the wetherby side of leeds. i think we both advertise in the Thorner parish magazine if i remember rightly.

  19. we had one at houghall in the late 90's still in good working order and like ed says taking the tension off was a bit like a game of buckaroo; you were never quite sure when the thing was going to release. We also had a little david stump grinder, now that thing scared the hell out of most of us including the staff. oh happy days:001_rolleyes:
  20. or live in herefordshire:001_tongue:
  21. have a look in things like hort weekly and farmers weekly.
  22. it was people who were wearing things like flip flops and plimsolls and were caught in the surge of people wanting to see the prodigy (the catering vans at the side of the arena were pushed back @ 3 foot) although i may have accidentally trampled a few toes of the odd crusty:001_tongue:
  23. i've worn mine for nearly two years now, admittedly not every day but most weeks i have had them on every day and i've found them better than the old brown stihl boots which i used to buy. However they are now looking a bit jaded round the edges and at the heel so they will probably get relegated to use at land rover trials and i'll buy myself a new pair of boots probably haix:thumbup1:
  24. just to really throw the cat among the pigeons, i find the husky leather chainsaw boots are quite comfortable. they are waterproof straight out of the box and provide plenty of support and have a decent inner sole provided. they are that comfortable i wore mine for two days non-stop at the leeds festival and i was glad on the friday night i had as there was a crush when the prodigy performed. the medical bods were treating people for twisted ankles and crushed toes but not me:thumbup1:
  25. happy birthday for yesterday mate. hope the hangover isn't too bad today.
