  1. whereabouts in the wetherby area are you? there's loads of lads round here who sell logs get the old yellow pages out. you could try The Tree Doctor (jon Lad on here) or mick rhodes at bramham.
  2. algon, similar to armillatox et al and works brilliantly or have a look at a kersten pedestrian sweeper, has a moss brush.
  3. i know that hospitals sometimes take photos of wounds especially if there is to reconstructive surgery carried out. you could try asking at the RVI in Newcastle as it is part of the uni so their library will probably be full of these pics.
  4. one on there now at £3,750 + the dreaded:thumbup1: cheaper than an ex mod rag top landy 110
  5. i think your right on that; as they say you can have too much of a good thing.
  6. and dodgy brakes are not something you want when towing a 105mm howitzer really are they? What you said about the Llama is probably true Ed, there was an article about them in one of the land rover magazines and there was a picture of one on the trials and the axle articulation was absolutely amazing.
  7. I will bow to your knowledge and experience of these vehicles Ed as what i wrote was based on hearsay rather than fact.
  8. made by reynold boughton (hence RB) then dodge and then renault. the army used to use them to tow artillery after they got rid of the land rover 101's but they were'nt quite up to the strain of pulling a gun that had decided to bury itself into the ground. a couple for sale at witham specialist vehicles.

  10. Due to the nature of this site, there is a thread about my van being nicked which was started within hours of the van going awol from outside the job. the van was recovered two days later after being nicked by a 15 year old who was known to the law.
  11. i think the answer to that is in the first picture stevie. look over the door of the building.
  12. i've seen one of these at brandon hire, they seem very capable; basically just lumps of carbide welded onto a steel disc:scared1:
  13. is cs 33 a revamp or totally new unit bob?
  14. you could just use your straightening irons to cauterise the wound frank:001_tt2:
  15. anybody else notice the use of a claw hammer to hit the wedge. Good god man give it some welly with a sledgie!
  16. did anybody look at the Arb-aid trauma kits at the AA this year. looked pretty useful for keeping in the wagon.
  17. sounds like the cannonball run to me. Be brilliant if tommer9 comes:001_tt2:
  18. i had a job that i walked off without being paid for the time i spent there as the owner had said she would clear up all the dog eggs off the lawn, which granted she did but straight into the flowerbeds where i was supposed to be working. I didn't know what to say or do so i rang the Oracle (Mr Lofthouse) for his sage advice which was dog egg tax or walk, i took the latter option after cleaning my boots and tools under her patio tap.
  19. try Jo Ryan at Treesource, very good selection of books at a reasonable price. She also knows what she's talking about as she is arb trained.
  20. don't have a stove or open fire but my local has been burning laburnum lately in his fires, lasts for ages and gives off a load of heat.

saw one of their landy conversions at the apf a couple of years back, exhaust runs up through one side of the storage box and the handwash unit was in there, great place to stick wet waterproofs to dry out or a set of dry clothes to warm up for after a long barnsley winter's day:001_smile:
