  1. Ahh right. Sounds good.
  2. Or he could say he's getting 1K but really be getting half that. Wouldnt be the first person to be full of crap and for some bizarre reason say they are doing better than they are!
  3. This may sound like a silly question but what is the end product? Sounds like they produce paper and power, that right?
  4. Not enough! Come on some idiot had to say it, so it may aswell be me:blushing: When times are good possibly 60-70% atm more like 25%.
  5. Hmm that scope did look nice too. If you see Bob tell him I will double his money straight away.
  6. Amen to type A's:thumbup1: Just ordering some atm. Just out of interest why would it be more acceptable to wear A's when pruning rather than section felling? I find myself in more compromising positions pruning than sectioning tbh.
  7. Surely its best to be alive than dead! I would hazard at a guess many people with false limbs would also agree. Unless obviously your in constant pain and are truly unhappy. Also despite what most people think cats only have 1 life not 9:001_rolleyes:
  8. That is abit nasty! A good gust of wind from the left might just see that over!
  9. Make sure you adjust the H speed jet a little ie richen it up a bit.
  10. If its a stihl it shouldn't leak oil. Btw I'm not knocking huskys by saying that but I do think some huskys leak which is accepted apparently.
  11. Old people are just a a law unto themselves. Although I think half of them have lost the will to live so a bit of excitement dodging branches really brightens up their year.
  12. Ahh right cheers. She had already green wheelied binned the leaves and brash so all that was left for me was a 2 foot high minuscule stump.
  13. I removed the stump from a red robin shrub the other week. Customer said it just died all of a sudden. She had another one in the garden that looked in good health. Both were fairly well established. I didnt have a clue what killed it if anything. Sorry but no help whatsoever.
  14. About sums it up for me too. Tbh I would buy it if it didnt cost anymore than petrol but it does, so I wont.
  15. Complete waste of time, money and tree stock. Without exaggeration I would say 90%+ of all the newlyish planted LA trees around here look like that. That pic Monkeyd has put up is quite a common site unfortunately. I bet the steel work and planting cost a fair bit too.
  16. I have PL and EL for my own work but it didn't come with me when I freelanced. Why on earth would anyone want to take all the risk?
  17. Is it better for the environment in regard to the carbon footprint required in manufacturing it? Also interested in any response to Andys comment about is it really any better for us.
  18. Half of you must be bonkers! Not wanting or expecting to get decent money and in it for the crack!
  19. You could do what some people who start up around here do. Phone me up or email me pretending you have x amount of conifers to fell that are about x high and ask how long it would take, how many men would I be using, what equipment I will be bringing and how much I will be charging if it takes me a day.
  20. Your going to use it one handed and either cut your left hand/arm by crossing it over /under the saw or get a nasty kickback to the face since its very hard to control kickback one handed. Its because they are so easy to use one handed which is great for working with but a lot more dangerous to use.
  21. Is it brand new?
  22. I really do need to start doing that tbh. I very rarely if ever ask what others have quoted when we have won the work. Its just one of those things when you dont do it its hard to remember to do it.
  23. Just wondering why you think you under priced it when it only took 2 men an easy day? If thats all it was I'd be lucky to win that at £300-350 round here.
  24. That would be interesting. Lets just hope they actually gave it to someone to do a bit of work with. Rather than cutting a few sticks in a lab. IE...... hope they have done some R&D this time!
  25. Porting is altering the size and shape of the ports exhaust, intake and transfer, not necessary all of them though. This affects compression and port timing so it cant really just be done willy nilly ie making them bigger etc. With a big bore you usually buy a new cylinder and piston kit that has been designed to increase the CC. Or you might be able to fit the piston and cylinder from the next saw model up ie ms660 to a ms460, btw thats just a guess so dont go out and buy the above. You cant really mill the cylinder as it is coated with nikasil I think rather than a steel liner like the older saws/2 stroke engines.
