  13. Best to just put on a damp set of chainsaw pants in the morning. Start as you mean to go on. H8 the rain with a passion.
  14. Beeches drop limbs, thats what they do. Especially when theres been a drought, not in this part of the UK though. To me that bit of stain has nothing to do with the limb shedding. Probably.
  15. Fair point. Its what there best at I suppose.
  16. Thats the las thing I would do around here, the LA cba looking after there own trees never mind charging someone else to look after theirs. Why cant we say if a tree is dangerous or not but the LA can?
  17. I've told people before that their tree needs some work/felling etc because of safety reasons but they have never been interested tbh. I only do this if its next door etc to where I've been working. I would never bother going out of my way or worrying about it as I would waste the rest of my short boring enough as it its life! If they were interested they would have already called someone out when they noticed there tree had no leaves or big dead bits keep dropping off. I dare say if you use enough pressure and persuasive tactics you could get some work out of it, works for plenty of people who seem to make a good living out of it. Maybe I'm just not trying hard enough!
  18. Having a look at pics of the yellow teeth I dont see why they cant be sharpened without any hassle. Got quoted around £240 from Vermeer UK to change over to yellow jacket teeth, but since I think the wheel looks a bit worn I reckon I would go for the multitip option first.

  22. Tbh I can agree with a lot of things you say but not with the above mate. Never ever enjoyed aubbing for others when that is what they want, get it on the deck asap.
  23. Really? I have chipped loads of laurel and always have a sneaky wee in the back of the van. Never noticed any adverse effects tbh. Although I do now have a 12 inch ****
  24. If people cba to go and get their tickets then I cba employing them. If their any good they will pass no problem at all. I dunno 15 years ago there were still plenty going to college like me so no different imo.
  25. I wonder how fine the line was between, "What a ballsy great job he did" to (in the blooper section) "OMG! what an idiot, you could just tell that was gonna crack back and land on the line!" Worked well though so a
