1. Yep old people are just bonkers. Good job he didnt knock you out. Never respect your elders, the older they are the more pissed off they are.
2. I suppose he has a bit more sense than some in that he has removed the dangerous bit while messing about with a saw that he has no clue about(which he also admits to). A lesser man would give it to someone else to fix. Was still a good chuckle though.
3. Must just be the photo then because it looks like a full chisel chain thats in need of a good sharpen to me. Not doubting you btw.
4. No I meant the tach not the saw. Heres a pic from the other thread. Says tach will do 19,900rpm.

VAT Rise

Silly me. There should be an option to abolish VAT altogether. How on earth I can add value by butchering a syc is beyond me.
6. I can see we are on a roll here chaps and ready to take on the farming world:thumbup1: haytalk.com has a nice ring to it:thumbup1: Noooooo it already excists. Someone has nicked my idea!!!!!!!!!
7. No it doesnt, well mine goes higher than that anyway, upto 19,000rpm I think.
8. Definitely on the road and can be helpful for the climber to easily and quickly spot the groundsman wondering into the drop zone looking at his boots:001_rolleyes: As for climbing nope, unless its wet and cold and its the only warm coat you have in the truck.
9. Sounds like I need to get into the hay making business:w00t: Can someone please advise me on... What equipment do I need? Where to buy it at the cheapest price? How much land do I need? Who has available land by me? How much will it be? How do I advertise to sell it? Can I use someone elses photos of them at work as I have none? How much money can I make? An finally how do I do it? Thanks in advance:thumbup1: Actually can someone just do it all for me then hand it over for me to run?
10. A million squid! Jeesh that must be some damage! Although since no one seems to be able to stop idiots with illegal dogs I doubt they could be very effective at stopping them damaging trees. Plus everyone knows my stance on dogs.
11. I'd stop running if through soil for a start. The extra link shouldnt be a problem, I have one on our 66 as it has a larger drive sprocket. ATM it wont cut anything very well until its sharpened.
12. I bet they woouldnt have stopped filming to phone an ambulance! Quite a few ask if its ok to take pics, watch and film but I assume only because there interested in what we are doing, not to make a few quid out of someones misfortune.
13. I always tell the customer to call me back if the stump re sprouts and in all the years of use I have never had to re spray. I must have treated ohhhh at least 2 possibly 3 stumps

VAT Rise

Erm how about putting it right up, Mrs smith shouldn't have to pay more than necessary to get her own tree pruned. Why should the government get even more money.
15. Arr right so thats what it is. Chalk made by the cheese eating surrender monkeys is a no no then.
16. Ive seen metal merchants using a white marker on steel, dunno if it will be any good for rope or what even type of marker it is. All in all a fairly useless post by me then.

Hardwood

Best thing for you to do imo would be to pick up the yellow pages and give the local tree lads a call asking if they will sell you some. What they will want is somewhere they can easily tip a van load off quickly with no messing about. Unless you get some response from here obviously.
18. I guess the old saying of you get what you pay for isnt relative in the zipper situation. Especially since they must be the most expensive trousers you can buy atm. Tbh I'd rather be seen with my todger hanging out than wearing braces!
19. Cue the back passage, tradesman's entrance delivery jokes.
20. WHAT!!! NO SMURF SONGS. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzGPNi-8fAY]YouTube - smurfs go pop: 3 I've got a little puppy[/ame]
21. We will never know exactly why they do these things because thankfully we don't think like they do. But I'd guess a combination of having no morels, ethics, not giving a toss about others and thinking there will no consequences from their actions that they have to worry about. Scumbags mate.
22. Excellent stuff if you can sell them for that price. But, only if you can sell enough at that price. Just out of interest, and if you don't mind me asking how much do you sell bagged logs for?
23. Surely the qualifications were talking about are just a basic requirement and nothing more. Its not like there very difficult to achieve. The problem is that a lot of people think that once they have them there a top class climber and in the same league as everyone else. No different from a young lad passing his driving test and thinking he's Michael Schumacher.
24. You will want to use a tacho to do it properly.
25. You only have one life, value it and that of others.
