Or well identify it for me please. [ATTACH]38882[/ATTACH] I bought some a good while ago to make prussik loops out of but was considering splicing a bit of it but I cant remember what it is, therefore dont known which type of splicing to do. Any help mucho apreciato. I also have some yellow and black stuff but I think thats marlow double braid.

No worries I think you missed my point though. Meant to say, as an arborist I look at the straight down the bar quite a lot.

We dont always do what were supposed to in life and sometimes we pay the consequences. Next time you do 31 in a 30 zone think of the above if you run someone over or have an accident. Not a rant or poke but just something to think about.

Oh yeah, strapping tight elastic bandages around your torso is supposed to help with support, but never tried it so dont know if it helps.

Will be book marking it for sure. Just a thought I had and was going to mention it in one of your fungi threads but how about a monthly report as such on what fungi can be found at the time, hosts plus possible effects on trees etc. I know your not looking for suggestions like this but thought I best mention it before I forget. Keep up the good work as it is interesting stuff. -
LOL yeah thats about all you can do. I did it years ago and tbh it still hurt every now and then for years afterwards, although it probably was because I carried on working and didnt rest like I was told. So I recommend a rest for at least a week or 2 if you can that is!

Sad news indeed. Must be terrifying for the friends and family of the victims.Thoughts go out to them all. Pity it looks like he killed himself, also a pity we dont hang draw and quarter such people anymore.

Its called cutting the ears off and I use it loads even on small stuff that has stringy bark. It stops it tearing and either pulling your strop down if tied in or hanging on and dropping on whatever you were trying to gob it away from. Good on willow,lime,elm,oak ,etc.

Now that is very underhanded. I dont believe that anyone has a right to any work ie on my patch, thats an old customer of mine etc but that is nicking work that I wouldnt be happy about.

I think its to do with the danger of the job. It's not like anyone can just go and unblock a sink now is it:001_rolleyes: Plus what if he didnt do it right, there could be water all over the floor and everthing!

Stupid comment by me I thought they had a pulling line on it and it was the tension in that that caused the single tree to pull over. Dunno how I miss heard that though!
