  1. Happy Birthday. Looking at your pics I would never believe you are only 35. Have a good un.

    Stihl 066

A good result in the end though:thumbup: Was it badly scored then?
  3. Yep your right there, typing on an iPad does have some draw backs:laugh1: Tbh, I was looking at getting a 7.5 toner years ago and do think they are a great idea in this game (although i was going to use it as a second vehicle) it's just I would have to get a bigger yard etc so decided against it. Anyway I think I could tow 750kg although it looked like on my license it could be 11000kg MAM never really got to the bottom of it!
  4. I think they have also changed the design on them slightly from the very first ones. I think it was so you can fit the cap when it is full to the brim with oil. I think the main prob people have is that they don't press down and just turn it, only takes a little bit of crap to go between cap and saw body to stop it fitting right.
  5. Have worked out what you can tow just to increase the payload with a trailer etc.
  6. Looks like some rope I have, can't remember what it is but Jonsie ID'd it for me on here.
  7. Ha, I was about 60 seconds too late with my post:laugh1:
  8. 10,9,8,7,6.......
  9. What is it that makes the robins cut so nice? Do you think its the blade speed or just the design/cutting angle? Sorry I cant help with the OP question I have only ever bought the single sided hedge trimmers.
  10. No doubt you will do well, even if its just because your indebted to someone which gives a kick up the arse.
  11. How on earth does it weigh that much!? I know a transit/ldv crewcab weighs around 2600kg, I woulda guessed yours as a chassis cab wouldnt be any heavier than 2100kg. Legally your truck is useless:laugh1:
  12. I wouldnt have thought the electric saws kick back more than petrol saws. I'd be asking who told him and why? Its to do with the energy in the chain than anything else IIRC. Thats why a bigger saw will kick more than a smaller when when the chain travels at roughly the same speed. Maybe a petrol will stall quicker than an electric but I dont think that would matter tbh.
  13. Well comparing your prices and the approx volume of a builders bag (0.6M is it?) you need to treble your prices. Or move a lot further south.
  14. Surely your only too cheap if all the other local firms are charging more than you.Tis irrelevant what others charge in different regions. Although you may make money by selling to them. I dunno what volume that is but we charge £100 for approx 2 cube delivered. Or did its going up this year but only to about £120 prob max.
  15. I dunno, I be my missus wished I only smelt only of cypress.
  16. You can get it quite thin with a bandsaw. Although not paper thin the way I think you want it.
  17. You have to hand it to the Russians, they know how to get things done. Although there trucks were probably made of depleted uranium not to get washed away in that:thumbup:

Straight in the green wheelie bin then.
  19. Fantastic:thumbup: I want the house too though.

on the 125 feet! As Deans says dont even think about chipping the leaves, include the cost for you to dump them. P.S aslong as you have your EA license.
  21. Contact ebay and tell them the problem and include the email he sent you. They might block his account from what he said.
  22. 2.5 ton.
  23. Just think you prob have another 32 years of work before retirement age so its deffo not too late to for a change of career!! Tbh with the state of the economy I woulda thought the government would be putting money into retraining, there must be something out there. Good luck, hope you can find it.
  24. I'm gonna have a look to see if they have any here. Its better £2.49 worth of handsaw sits under the seat in the truck only to be used once a year than a £40 silky:laugh1:
  25. Most of the noise comes from the exhaust they are fairly small and dont cut down the noise that much, well does with our splitter although its not the same type. There must be some way a better, bigger exhaust could be knocked up, it will prob reduce the power though but hopefully will still keep you working:thumbup1:
