  1. Wish I coud say the same about mine guarding the van. Soft as!!!
  2. Indeed, although, in the 3 years that my dog has been coming out with us I can't remember anyone moaning, some people have cats and aren't too impressed about dogs in their gardens but they are always OK about us having a dog with us, I respect their opinion on dogs and it's always OK.
  3. Take my dog to work every day, never had problems with customers at all, they are always happy to see a dog out and about with us. She stays in the truck during work time and runs about at breaks etc. Never had any negative feedback about having her with us, actually it's quite the opposite.
  4. Common as common could be, but thought it was worth putting up. On a larch that we felled last week, video of which has been posted for your perusal.Titled "Really pleased with this one"
  5. Bit slow for us, did a couple of loads last week, but it was cold last night so hopefully get some more calls soon.
  6. I find that my drift 170 has gone right down in quality...too many knocks and bangs?
  7. I'm looking at the Go Pro also, currently I use a drift170 and edit on Imovie, which as a total novice I find excellent
  8. Good point, the main aim was to get it through the 5-6ft gap, the sticks were there as a judge of length of the tree. Hope that clarifies.
  9. I couldn't see a problem with Dadio's videos. Actually I think precision is what we are all about and to that point, inspired by this vid I decided to attempt one this week as well to submit. The quality of the image isn't great, I need a new head cam!! Hope you enjoy it. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pN-03JmNjK4]Tree surgeon arborist Precision fell - YouTube[/ame]
  10. I know where you're coming from, I seem to spend more time on the music choice and length of track etc etc than the edit of the film itself. I've a few vids up, here's my channel if you're interested. Kanal tilhørende Treevids - YouTube What camera is that, it's much better quality than my battered old Drift X170...time for a new one I think. Great video.
  11. I've got a tree on my logo, but it's a little more stylised (see left). But I'd agree with a few on here, to try to spend the cash and get it designed professionally.
  12. Good one Stuart, enjoyed that a lot. How's life treating you and the old man?? Say hello to him for me.

    My first video

Enjoyed that, looks like the tree had an interested bend at the top!! Great choice of tunes as well. Always surprised with how the music can add to the film. I always find the choice of tunes hardest. Here's my latest effort [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHVn124R1wk]Tree surgeon arborist 95ft dead Larch takedown http://www.abouttrees.co.uk/ - YouTube[/ame]
  14. Thanks. It's really not my skill. It's just that iMovie is so easy to use. Glad you liked it.
  15. Like the title suggests, I'm pleased with this video attempt. Enjoying playing around on iMovie, keep me out of mischief!! Thanks for looking [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHVn124R1wk]Tree surgeon arborist 95ft dead Larch takedown http://www.abouttrees.co.uk/ - YouTube[/ame]
  16. yep, broke mine last year. Cost about 30 quid from my local glazing company.
  17. I've got a 222 and my engines mounts went also, what engine is in yours, mine's got the Ruggerrini.
  18. I think the problem here is it's north facing on the sea-front. the Northerlies are battering the poor old thing.
  19. It's planted in a retaining wall, I agree with the north facing aspect, it will in all likelihood die, but I'd rather it didn't the year after we prune it!! I would say its quite well planted and better off than being potted, but not as well off as if were in the ground?
  20. Hello all, hope you are all well. Got a quick question. Has anyone got experience in pruning olive trees? I've been asked by a local company to prune their old, and expensive to re-place olive tree at the front of their restaurant (they are kinda known for the olive tree outside, so no pressure!!!). The tree is not looking too healthy, it's lost a lot of leaves, so I was thinking about reducing by 1/3rd in the hope that some newer growth comes through lower down next year and then maybe the following year taking another 3rd out. This seems to be what the advice online is to re-juvinate olive trees. Just wanted to know if anyone had done this themselves on here? The tree is in a really exposed north facing position and it gets battered by the wind, which I know Olive's don't like, so another question....shall we offer to wrap it up for winter?? Any advice gladly received. Ta very much
  21. I split some "seasoned" oak and ash last week for home, on splitting it read between 22-27% a few days later after being stacked inside a garage it read 18-25% Don't know if that's a normal rate of drying, seems very quick to me but it's what the meter told me. Hope it helps
