  1. Used to have one, found the charges on Mastercard just far too high, Visa not too bad, debit card was about 40p per transaction from memory. I surrendered it about 3 years ago, been asked about 5 times since if I take card payment, funnily enough all in the last 6 months. I always point people in the way of BACS. Keep thinking about it again but still not enough demand for me and I certainly haven't lost any business having not got one.
  2. Thanks for the offer but the outer is rusty and generally shite, so it's impossible to get any info at all!
  3. I tried them there, although very helpful they couldn't help. Thanks though
  4. As the title says, the gas strut on my kwickchip 222 for the emergency stop bar has finally rusted up and broken. I'm having real issues finding the correct replacement, they are rated according to their strength. I don't suppose any of you good fellas know what type I'm looking for to replace it with or if not a good reliable supplier that I can talk to about it?
  5. Hello mate, can't help you with that one, but nice to see your name pop up. Hope all's well with the Darbyshire's
  6. Think you'll find it's more to do with the exposure, if you look at the yew next to it and the undergrowth on the second shot you'll see they're all slightly lighter and yellower also. That' my story anyway and I'm sticking to it!!
  7. Seen plenty of them pollarded in my time as well.
  8. Here's one we did about 4 years ago, then how it looked 2 years later.
  9. Maybe it was that the old Nissan just drank diesel no matter what. Just got a hilux 3L and getting approx 31MPG. Not too bad I think.
  10. Do you reckon the AT2's really knock 3 Mpg off. I had them on my old nissan and the difference between them and the road tyres they replaced seemed negligible to me.
  11. Looked at a beaut of a tree the other day, only problem is one side have died back this year and is now devoid of foliage. There's no obvious root/soil problem and a Portugal laurel hedge nearby is also dying off. Ideas anyone???
  12. Can't complain about my 660. Pushes the 36 inch bar nicely.
  13. PM me some details, I may be looking to take someone on in the winter. Good luck chap
  14. Who do you use Ross?
  15. Remember hearing a few months ago on radio 4 that some uni had tested various different types of isotonic drinks versus normal beverages to see what was best and the result was that good old cheap supermarket chocolate milkshake had the best results. Me? Plenty of water and a decent wide brimmed hat when out of the tree. Shade at any point and ballistics off at any given opportunity. Quick long lasting energy boost has always been peanuts for me, but don't forget the H2O
  16. Might be able to throw a little bit your way. Send me some details on and I'll keep them on file.
  17. Waste of time in my humble opinion, was a member down this way for a while and seemed to be full of people who thought they were Bill Gates. Quit after 1 year and never been busier, think it depends where your chapter is.
  18. Sorry, can't help, but i'm looking at rangers. Any good? Any views would be greatly received
  19. Had the same a few weeks back. Massive Poplar dismantle, had 3k on it, client went for the cheaper price of 1.5k What can you do??
  20. Just an LDV, will get a pic when weather improves.....that'll be June then according to the weather!!
  21. Real pain and not pretty either!!
  22. Had a tricky enough day today, removing dead hangers and torn branches from a huge Crack willow.....not pleasant. Client asked to keep the chips so I reversed down a small gap, and managed to open up the side of the truck up like a sardine tin on a length of right angle sticking out from the garage holding up a power line!!!!! A wee bit annoying. Still he was happy with his chips!!!!! Bit of filing and some spray paint methinks!!!
  23. Not quite that tall
  24. No mate, nothing really that big in Whitstable. It was just of the M20 Maidstone direction. Heard no more form them , so can only assume the cheaper guy won through. Shall't lose sleep over it!! Beer sounds mighty fine!
  25. No, my friend, I'd say bigger than that....much bigger!
