  3. Hi there peeps. Just got a new secondhand(business isn't that good!!!) 4x4. It looks like I've only got a few thousand more miles left on the tyres. What do you guys reckon would be a good choice??? All-terrain or the more aggressive MT's It's a working tree surgery truck so will be in the rough stuff ocassionally In the past I've had Marshall MT's ...they were ok. Cheers for the advice

  5. Hello Folks Just catching up to see how you out there are finding business at present. Do you feel the effects of the Credit Crunch or is everything hunky dory??? Me..... well could be busier....could be a hell of a lot quieter!!!! Do you reckon we are heading for the resession that the papers keep going on about or do you reckon it's all hyped up???. I reckon maybe a bit of both. Either way we all need to stick together!!!! Cheers peeps

  7. Hello all. Hope you are all well and enjoying the summer.....HA HA!! I'm thinking about buying a new Hitch climber but understand I have to change my knot, currently I use and love a Blakes Hitch but I feel like a bit of a change. Anyone out there with ideas on which knot and what friction rope would be good to use??? I climb on Yale XTC+. Also any good websites with instructions and pictures of knots?? Thanks y'all

I wonder if any of you out there can help, I just employed a sub-contract climber for two days work at a site, the first day was ok the second he was fooling around a little and took a nasty swing that resulted in him getting a suspected fracture/break. My client now needs me to fill out accident forms etc etc. Can any of you guys tell me is there any come back to me and my company or not?? Is that one of the benefits of taking on subbies that any accidents are his mis-fortune and not mine. I don't wish to sound harsh or tyranical but its cost me time off site and a hospital visit. I know accidents happen but this was totally avoidable. Thanks for the advice....hopefully!!!!

  10. Hello All We are a young company, expanding slowly but surely and are now in the position to take a trainee climber/groundie on, you can have little or no experiance, tickets would be good. It's a part-time position but I am endevouring to offer full-time asap I know part-time isn't ideal, so also are there any subbies that can pm me their numbers so I can call you up as and when??     Hello peeps I am looking into buying a new big saw in the stihl 084 area, but notice that the husky equivilant is about 2 hundred quid cheaper, I think its called the 3120XP. Does anyone have any thoughts out there??? See y'all

Due to business picking up (we are a new venture) I have a position I need to fill, it is for a Part-Time trainee Groundsman/Climber starting immediately, with the option to full-time when work picks up even more.
