  1. If you had a grab lorry that would be ideal its in the ME13 area
  2. Like the title says, looked at an oak last week, beaut of a tree, but as I walked away i noticed a slight drop in vigour of the crown on one side (I mean really slight) few small bits of dead and it had dropped a branch from this same sides in the high winds (could be coincidence) then I noticed this on the limb that the side with the less vigour grew from (hope that makes some sort of sense) Any ideas/ theories?
  3. I could probably cover all of that for you, if you could arrange to pick it up yourself you can have it for free. I'm near Whitstable
  4. `Hi there, I'm looking for a self-employed climber to come in 3 days a week for the foreseeable future. We are based near Canterbury. Starting the week after next. Thanks in advance
  5. As the title says, due to workload I am thinking about increasing my contact list of subbies who may want work in the Kent area. If you're interested please let me know? Cheers
  6. Thanks David. Any impact on tree health? The "host" tree does seem to have less vigour than the other trees in the row.
  7. Good afternoon y'all, I hope you are all well and cherishing the onset of Autumn, then Winter mmmm cold hands!!! Could any one of you decent types out there help me ident this little fella? Found at the base of a live birch, with a sparse crown. There is Sulphur tuft nearby, but I'm pretty sure this isn't it. Thanks in advance
  8. i like the bit where it was all logged up with an 020T
  9. Definitely the Ken Burns effect. Use the help option whilst in iMovie it'll sort it.
  10. When I first started 16years ago, my first boss the legend that is Trevor Witt made me climb all the time with a wire core line. I now only use them on very large diameter stuff when I have a large saw up the tree. (I know this wont offer any cut resistance against a 660 is full revs but it just feels safer for me. I find them very useful if climbing a heavily ivy covered tree because as someone has already pointed out they are great for "flipping" over the growth. But has to be said 99% of the time it's rope for me and all the arbs I know.
  11. I had the AT2's on my old Terrano. It used to go everywhere with those on. Even pulled the transit (with chipper attached) across a very boggy field once. Now have a hilux with Toyo Open Country AT on (only the rear) seemed pretty good in the snow, grip very well on the tarmac when a little heavy footed but I'm not sure they last anywhere near as long as the BFG's.
  12. I can get it half way in then the truck starts to hit the top of the lock up......honestly!!!
  13. We've got an old 222 turntable. Built like a tank, chips really well, always managed to find spares from it online Eric Hunter helped a lot and there is plenty of suppliers for the Ruggerini (now owned by Lombardini) online also. It's a brute, heavy and slow to tow. Also at the end of a hard day, hard to push up into the lock-up!!!
  14. Used one the other day with Klemhiest. Worked a treat. Really impressed.
  15. Brilliant, where did you get that from?
  16. Just looked into it further, seems that sky make it very hard to use a different router.
  17. Was wondering if there are any techy types out there? I have been streaming music (via Airport Express) for some time now, but occasionally the signal drops off. This really frustrates me!! I've checked the speed to the router and that's good....9meg. This leaves me to believe its an issue within the network in the house. The computer is situated quite far away from the router (other side of the house and up 2 flights of stairs) So my conclusion is that the router is not sending out a strong enough signal? Question is what would be a reasonable replacement router fro my existing sky one? I've looked at this one D-Link UK | DIR-826L Cloud Gigabit Router N600 Help gratefully appreciated Cheers
  18. What's the turnaround timewise. 2x climbing kits 2x lowering set up (mostly purchased from your good selves I may hasten to add!)
  19. I know this has been covered a few times now, but does anyone have any names/numbers for Loler inspectors in Kent. Ta very much
