  1. We cut back a large beech tree from lines and end weighted over a cafe and a garage. It was over a short cut route aswell. My boss climbed it and I was in a bucket. By the time he'd got to the end of his second limb, I'd finished the rest of the tree. It was a tricky climb for him large limbs to deal with. We were done by 11 am. Power back on and still fresh for the next job. Mewp's are always worth considering, if price allows;-) trees, waves and cakes!!:-)

  14. Some reports make you wonder if they even got out of their car! Others are pages upon pages to decipher before you can correlate with a map. And others are spot on. Makes you wonder that if they've all been through the same courses how they are different? trees, waves and cakes!!:-)
  15. Just wondering, as there wasn't any round Bristol way. How many of these trees had faults anyway? (Weak forks, root rot etc). And how many were healthy, but casualties of the wind? trees, waves and cakes!!:-)

  19. Likes- rushing about in the chaos, clearing roads and not overly concerned about tidy up as theres plenty more to get on with. Dislikes- the next month of calls from people who are worried because their "tree was blowing about the other night", blown over? "No", damaged limbs? "No, think it might be top heavy". Welcome to nature public, its what trees do in wind trees, waves and cakes!!:-)
  20. Hung and windblown can be the trickiest to determine how they will react. To convert an old chippy phrase into arb talk. "Think twice, cut once!":-) trees, waves and cakes!!:-)
  21. My favourite wad someone tripping over a tree cutting sign whilst staring at their phone. They looked quite sheepish when they realised everyone had seen:-) trees, waves and cakes!!:-)
  22. What you charge is fair, in Bristol (renowned for tightness) most loads seem to be about £100 for a split, dried hardwood tonne bag delivered. And they still winge about that. trees, waves and cakes!!:-)
