  1. Oh dear Dean, wait till Pete see that!!
  2. Chain blunt on one side or uneven sharpening.
  3. Why is the chain cut?? Saw head can be removed without cutting the chain.
  4. Don't think it is, looks like Aspen Pop to me.
  5. Do you think a smile works for shoplifters???
  6. Nonsense http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/70848-cat-rescue.html And as for the comment about H&S and lying in the gob, its pretty obvious your not in the tree game.
  7. Yes I do, but it seems you don't, your post was in no way "sarcastic".
  8. Lets hope the right ones are watching and he looses his FA's.
  9. I'm not anti gun, just anti morons like you who shot my cat many years ago, causing it a great deal of suffering and me a huge vet bill. Why is it funny to shoot someones pet
  10. Looks like Willow or Yellow Ash as its sometimes known:sneaky2:
  11. You really need a consultant rather than a contractor, some are both.
  12. As the house has been built with the tree already there its foundations should have been built in such away to cope with the tree or its removal.
  13. I'm removing two this week, they were a group of three, but the middle one failed in the high winds last month. The one that failed had no fruiting bodies or other external signs of decay other than the tell tail increase buttress flair and fluting thats a give away of internal rot. The other two are showing the same flaring and the council are happy to take this as sufficient evidence for a 5 day notice. If I were you I'd get expert advice and if removal is decided upon get some contribution from the neighbour, it seems they feel they will benefit from its removal so should be happy to chip in.
  14. Parts are readily available from Alex Price, his postal service is excellent.
  15. Cats need to come down backward, their claws won't work going forwards. Some cats know this some don't seem to. I had a cat that could climb any tree and descended backwards with great skill, I've had others that did not have a clue and needed rescuing. Often cats run up a tree due to fear, being chased by a dog, etc, and are then trapped in what is an alien environment to them.
  16. Same here, I've had a successful out come to the half dozen cat rescues I've undertaken. A text is a very polite approach, seems like a considerate person.
  17. I've only had it once in 20 years. How the hell do you prove the tree would have failed once its been felled?? all very subjective, IMO.
  18. I had a customer with a HC with bleeding canker that shed a limb, I advised they send in a 5 day notice, the TO responded with a threat of legal action if we felled, the tree then shed another limb, the TO then issued the owner with a notice to fell within 7 day or the council would and bill her
  19. As we discussed earlier, they cannot request he cuts them (as with your tree growing over your neighbours land) they can cut them and leave the arisings. You are not responsible for where your trees grow, with the exemption of the highway and footpaths, as far as I'm aware.
  20. I did He does not have a problem, he thinks BT do and he wonders if it his responsibility to sort it, I don't think it is.
  21. SteveA has no problem, its not his line, BT will have a problem when the customer losses their supply.
